Official Trailer out now. Making me feel a little nostalgic, and it's all filmed around where I was living for the past 6 years. Can't wait for this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsozpEE543w
Seems like a movie that might be difficult to make a sequel to but that trailer actually looks decent.
Not sure if this is a wind up or not, but one of the high rises that featured in T1 is being considered for listed status. I lived across from this eyesore 6 years ago for a few months. It's about the most drug abuse ridden shit hole of crime and poverty in the whole of Scotland, and should be demolished immediately. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-37951396
Finally watched this the other day. Thought there were would be a bit more plot to it to be honest, it was more of a nostalgia fest. Lots of Edinburgh scenes in there including Saughton prison which I use to be able to see from my house. Slightly living the lifestyle there while all this was being filmed. As with the original some of the scenes are also filmed in Glasgow. The fictional pub that features in it, Port Sunshine is supposed to be in Leith but they used a pub in Clydebank in Glasgow for it and changed the sign. The nightclub scene in the original was also filmed in a nightclub in the west end of Glasgow called The Volcano, which isn't there anymore. Everyone was talking about this new book by Irvine Welsh that was quite edgy, and then I was in Manchester with the 24 hour party people and watched the original there, at the pictures in Oxford Road when it came out. ---- Really like this song from Wolf Alice that's on the soundtrack. There was a bit of it in the trailer, but I didn't realise it was them, must have missed this one from the album or forgotten about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTsN7uugtfg Ellie Rowsell takes her job seriously. I think we might see them headlining festivals in a few years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM-ZoEwpDdA
