hows it going everybody. im new to the forums and fairly new to the synthetic drug scene. Up until a few months ago i knew nothing about RC vendors or anything. My buddy had purchased a fairly good amount of (2c-i) don't know if i can even say that.. Please correct. but ever since then i have looked into many psychedelics. Ive tried salvia (tripped balls) and smoke weed on a weekly basis. I basically made the thread to introduce myself. OH! i have a keen interest in d m t . Im going to purchase the spirit molecule book soon and am currently reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead. If anybody has some stories.reccomendations.opinions on synthetic drugs please post.:afro:
Here is a brief overview of psychedelics, both synthetic and natural that I have explored. There are tons of quality trip reports here on HF. http://guerillabedlam.webs.com/apps/blog/categories/show/1214470-psychedelics My top 3 favorite chems are: LSD MDMA DMT but there are very few that I don't think are worthwhile.
Never stop learning if this is an interest that you think may take you far on your chosen path. It is not for everyone. The 'scene' is constantly evolving, it is almost a defining characteristic. Embrace it as a psychonaut who is defined by their exploration into this realm. Or get a real job as a bean-counter in a cube, nine-to-five, and just don't take the whole 'omg im tripping' isht so seriously - it doesn't have to be a heavy trip. :mickey:
Im deeply interested in these drugs. Had an interest in consciousness expansion. Enlightenment, all that stuff. A real job in a cube sounds promising in this day and age but i feel as though that truly doesn't satisfy the soul. As Socrates put it the improvement of the soul makes us happy not money. Im not a bum either though... lol
The RC scene is an interesting and often challenging one to get a grip of... As GB said above me, there are SO many different 'psychedelic' drugs out there, do some more research and get to eating something!!
Only you can provide you with englightenment, or the universe, depending on how you want to look at it (same thing ) so as drugs are part of the universe, drugs can indeed provide you with enlightenment, just like a martial arts can, meditation, seeing a frog jump into a pond, or reading about enlightenment. It can also provide you with many things that you might think are enlightenment, whatever your definition of that is, and that's part of the whole journey. As far as stepping stones go though, it's hard to beat a true psychedelic experience.
Enjoy your research But be wise friend. Many scams, bunk product, and a shit ton of websites which 30% are maybe real deal sites. DO not over dose ie start with small doses to get a good feel. Main advice do much much research. Check out vendor forums. google some sites with the word scam and a reg. search could help you out. I know I have had some crazy crazy nights and days on rc's. be safe enjoy
Who claimed they would? What do you mean by enlightenment? Obviously if you think such a thing exists, you must know how to reach it.
Only meant to counter any suggestions to a first time synthetic psychedelic user that such things can provide such a thing as 'enlightenment' however that might be defined. The experience is fantastic and as said a great stepping stone but to put too much stock in such an experience is a trap that many have fallen into. Of course I don't know how to achieve enlightenment, I only mean that drug use alone will not provide any answers.
I just don't know about this whole thing of answers. Answers to what? It's a rhetorical question, I just feel that there is no such thing as this answer everyone's looking for. ..perhaps! Maybe just having too serious a day, all ill n doing work
Well for me I'll provide a smaller example such as me playing guitar, psychedelics have allowed me the insight to look at the fret board differently and have led to musical connections that my sober mind for whatever reason cannot grasp. Those aha moments when I am discovering the guitar in this new way is enligtening to me.
Unfortunately something as monumental as "life changing LSD experience" is captured under your string of words "drug use alone", so it's a little silly. Drug use alone actually can provide many, many answers to many things, and even the answer, if there is the question to ask. Maybe you meant it very strictly, as in someone strapped to a bed in a dark silent room on LSD. Obviously the real formula is something like "Drug use + reflection + ???" etc. Drugs are catalysts for mental change so they provide many answers and many questions, I'm surprised to hear you writing them off as basically useless for any kind of existential explorations, though I remember you have had quite terrible experiences with them yourself, largely destructive and delirious states of mind. I hope one day you have a creative and sobering experience on one
The only answers psychedelics have provided me with were the demolition of answers: -The idea there is a god or purpose to life -The idea of "progress" in life or the world -Permanence of things, permanence of ideas
Hmm, I've had two bad trips yes. The last one, and the one before the one before that. But the I dunno twenty or so times before that I did have an incredibly beautiful sobering experience. Those two trips did put me right off though. I guess 'tis wrong to write them off completely, taking a very narrow world view when I suggested that. For myself personally I feel I've learnt everything I am going to from them, and that that wasn't much in itself really except for some very vague notions which I carry around in my head now about the roots of religious experience and the interconnectedness of things, all that jazz. I hope in twenty years I can go back there.
Ya, I see your point, at first I thought it to be an absolutist position. Sure psychedelics don't provide THEE answer in an of themselves but good points were made. A different perspective, a new take on a question, an ah-ha moment that leads to a different/better understanding, these are all things that can lead to a better quality of life. They do though have to be integrated into our regular selves and in that sense I don't think you drop a tab and become enlightened, traipsing off into the sunset happily ever after.
for op: read read read and read. more research. never enough research. You are going to get much better information browsing this forum (or others like it but this is my favorite) and participating in conversations than you would from reading erowid or wikipedia
