is the greatest invention EVER. Lunch is stupid. Skipping lunch to learn to swing is not stupid. It's incindiary. In fact it's orgasmic. The teacher's ridiculously good-looking as well. I hearby accept my theatre geekiness. Thank you. *jazzy hands*
im a new theater geek...but not really...im just helping with an anti-meth play [as prop/stage manager]...im more of a movie geek [editing, shooting and acting]...but ya, swing and jive are great, cept i know 3 moves, and one is made up [but its probobly not made up]
Theatre geek here... but because of creative writing I can't get into adv. this semester. Sad. Swing dancing, or any ballroom dancing, is simply the greatest invention of man ever. The last time I swing danced was probably on halloween, with my friend who was dressed as a pirate with his long, black medieval coat, being the hottest thing on earth. As whatever as that sounds my god it's true he's absolutely beautiful and dancing like Fred Astaire.
Am I crazy, or was that a "Long Tall Glasses" reference...? Meh, 10 points. I fucking love that song. Yeah! I think I do my kicks too big, though. I kicked some kid in the shin on accident...
No...it was actually a typo - wrong verb tense - but I meant it literally, he dances like Fred fucking Astaire. Okay he obviously can't tap as well, but who am I to judge; as long as I see him randomly tap dancing in the hallway at school, oblivious to the fact that he is . . . at school, it's good enough for me. I must hear this song now, though.
That's exactly what I was thinking when we were doing the Charleston during the Big Apple. He sounds really really ridiculously cool. And the song is by Leo Sayer. It's awesome. I think I'm gonna go dance to it now.
Yeah . . . you have no clue about the ridiculous coolness. I heart this boy SO much. Yes goddamnit I just said I heart him, I don't know why. Haha, I learned the Charleston with my fourth grade class and performed it for the school - I had a flapper dress and everything that I wish I could still wear. But I'll be getting/making one this spring because we have a Roaring 20s themed prom that I will go to solely for the excuse of the dress.
