you know that sow on MTV My Sweet Sixteen ? i cant stand girls like that. How spoiled can you get ?! People are raising their kids to be bitches and assholes they say it is so cute to be a brat...they grow up to be bitches
haha thats why i hate mtv only a little percent of it actually has to do with music anymore its so sad.i dont think itll exist another 10 years
MTVs not a music channel...its a disgrace. I hope it doesnt exist for another 10 years, but it probably will, and get worse and worse and worse and worse and worse... sweet sixteen is the worst, and i hope the children of next generation arent getting influenced to act like that when they grow up...
i totally agree I hope they dont act that way when they get older too...but why would they not. They were raised thinking that it is a good thing
The same thing is happening to Much Music here. Half of the time it's lame tv shows, and then it's Lindsey Lohan videos for the next half.
oh i hate Lindsey Lohan. She is such a snot. I have heard many stories about her being a really bitch, even to her kid fans
yeah it is sad really. but i find it really entertaining. watching how empty and meaningless rich kids' lives are make me so happy I'm poor. ok seriously...i find that mtv glorifies a little too much what people think of the 'high life' you know, being rich and spoilt. It easy to want what others have, but then people can only dream of being that rich. Cribs is another good example. I often find myself feeling really annoyed that some idiot with a single top ten hit lives in a fucking mansion and baths their dog in champagne. People have to work hard to have a roof over their heads...aspiring to a life of luxury just promotes mind numbeness anyway i'm feeling cranky
fuck, i hate mtv. and that fucking sweet sixteen show, their parents are throwing money at them and the kids are being bitches back to them. thats what happens when you leave the fucking media to raise your kid!
I know. Theres this fat ass spoiled bitch going around my school saying she's going to be on that show and she's getting a land rover when she's 16. I hate spoiled brats.
MTV is disgusting, and "Sweet Sixteen" or whatever it's called is by far their worst show. I would never let my child watch that kind of garbage. Well, hell, if I had kids, I wouldn't even own a fucking television. You're all right about television networks promoting some kind of rich lifestyle. Honestly, they work to beat it into kids' minds continuously. I really don't get it. If you flip on MTV, or even more so VH1, you're bound to see some kind of focus on the rich and their luxuries. It's ridiculous, and I just wish that more people could spot these networks' pointlessness. Ugh, I'm just making myself mad. Fuck television.
i think the point of their programming is so people will watch it just cause its so damn stupid...and the networks have no more ideas left. i dont think i would own a tv if i had a child to...i think i would actually move to somewhere out in the country or a small little community where my child can grow up near nice children and have a happy childhood, instead of having a bunch of braty peers and hooligans as classmates...i just know my elementry school experience sucked complete ass
Okay, but are you going to shelter the kid for his whole childhood? I mean, I don't know... I think (and I'm speaking here with absolutely no parenting experience ) that it would be best to simply teach your child what's right instead of creating some idealized environment for them to live in and learn from. You can't save them from everything, anyway.
i know...i just hated my environment...alot... i mean, im not gonna change everything for me and my family just so my child will have a good childhood, but i just want him to have it a little better then i did.
i wouldnt either. I grew up with two channels sometimes three. And they all sucked. I spent so much time outside playing and building forts and riding bike. i would want my kids to experiance that kind of life and to be safe from all the mind bull
I think I'd much rather my child sit around listening to music than watching TV. I'd push all of my favorite music on my kids, if I ever had any. My five year old would be walking around singing "Heroin."
