NOTE not white or russet potato leaves, those are toxic and in the nightshade family.

While looking for calaloo seeds, I ran across several discussions about edible houseplants, including a reference to sweet potato greens.

I thought that they were toxic, like regular white or purple fleshed potatoes, but no. They are eaten in many cuisines.

Well, I often serve greens with sweet potatoes....

When I hit the grocery, lo and behold, sweet potato leaves were for sale.

I bought a bundle, took them home and treated them like kale.

    Wash and dry leaves
Sauté in oil with onion, garlic, chili, whatever you love.
I used onion and chili flakes.
After they were finished, I used siracha sauce to serve.

Yummy, cheap, and I'll be growing my own in the house!

Can you eat the greens on beets?

I thought I read somewhere that you could, but maybe you know and have eaten them before.

    Yep. Radishes, too.
Carrot tops are like a slightly off parsley, too.
