sweatshops

i created some fuss over sweatshops n one thread. so i just want to see how people feel about sweatshops n' child labor, w/o stating my opinion.

I don't agree with them, but they are needed.... I'd love for there to be better working environments and higher pay for sweatshop workers, but I've gotten realistic and left those fairy tale dreams in the past
If it weren't for sweatshops there'd be millions more dying from starvation than there already are....

But I don't wear any sweatshop made clothes or anything of that sort.

 

They're good.
Without the salary of a sweatshop, the people working in them would most likely starve.

the concept is stupid but yes they are nessicary otherwise all those familys [not just the kids] will starve cause the kids have to work for the family to get enought to eat as well....if there were no sweat shops, no-name clothes would be as expensive as brand name shit is now...

 

ok, if you wanna hear i dont agree with sweatshops because they exploit thier workers, with 2-10 cent wages.i just wish there could be proper paying sweat shops....5-10 dollars instead of 2-10 cents.

If people were paid 5-10 dollars, the job wouldn't be called a sweatshop.

why do you think t-shirts cost like 2 bucks, cause after paying makers, shipping, "branding" and mark up so stores can make a profit...with captialsm wouldn't be feezable to sell a 50$ no name shirt.....

socialism is much better...same with communism



sweatshps suck, but thats why they are in places like india and indonesia etc....lots of their governments aren't willing to do anything, and i bet the captialist west isn't helping much either...

It's called a sweatshop for a reason.

 

Sweatshops provide employment.... The pay of course seems ridiculously low to us, but stuff is also far cheaper there, the cost of living and such much lower...

 

theres nothing good about exploited workers, especially children, but what if great big america went in and shut them down. our economy fails, and theirs gets even worse. a dollar a week is better than nothing at all. right now there is not financial equality, and i dont think there ever will be. the best we can do now is support grassroots projects in foreign countries.

 

The best thing for America to do is mind their own business.

Well there pretty horrible but its would be to hard to change the past... if we as humans on this earth didnt fuck it over and creat this mess then it would be okay and there would be a need for sweatshops and other nonsense... but we didn’t do ANY good for this earth and now we are what we created.. soooo just have to accept them i guess cause many people would be in starvation with out.. as they are with... too bad we created this mess in the first place eh?
