Jesse and I are very interested in sustainable living and community building with other like-minded families and the Scandinavian region has been one that has intrigued us again and again. Would anyone happen to know much about staying in Denmark long term, or how one could go about being an expat in the country? We love our country, it is very diverse and large, so much to experience and see! Yet, we are somewhat wary of when we decide to start a family, raising our child here in the US. Sadly, much of the states has seen a decline in traditions and strong family bonds, and the schools here are losing so much funding. We would like to be settled someday on the other side of the Atlantic, which would also have us closer to Asia and other travels and adventures. We have wondered about traveling in wagons or RVs throughout Europe with other families/expats. These are all dreams of ours, and we hope to one day see them come true in some form. Thank you!
Most of what you need to know can be find at the webpage of the Danish Foreign Ministry. You could also try to contact your Danish embassy in the United States, which is located in Washington, DC. I think that you'll need visa suitable for the purpose of you travel, as you need to stay for a longer spanning period of time, and are not EU citizens.
