Love sushi and sashimi. Eat it at least 3 times a week. NYC has some great sushi spots.

Lol I used to think sushi was for "poofs" or what have you. It's really worth a try. And can be very healthy.

Also, Neil Patrik Harris is THE SHIT...watch How I Met Your Mother, also staring Jason Segel and other awesome ppl.

Yea man love it. Used to avoid it. Something that made me squeamish.

It's one of those things people avoid or joke about, because they haven't been exposed to it yet.

Total respect for Japanese food culture.

I love sushi. I like the tuna and salmon ones (don't know any of the names) but I'll try anything and I'd probably like it all

Absolutely LOVE sushi, it's one of my favorite foods. I think it's one of the few things I could eat everyday and not tire of. Was going to make some homemade California rolls, but alas, bought all the ingredients except the rice vinegar :(

I love going out for it, there are some killer places I've gone too, but also making it at home is convenient and pretty inexpensive.

It's hard to pick a favorite, it really depends on my mood. Can't recall ever coming across a type I didn't like.

its only a fad if you're eating sushi while wearing a pair of chuck taylors or vans... sporting your newest and tightest pair of jeans and flannel shirt... staring at your sushi through your thick black framed glasses...

I am scared of eating sushi. And I wear Chuck Taylors, so it makes it worse. :(

I like sushi rolls, but some sashimi is pretty bomb as well.

I've read that the feel of a 'traditional' sushi restaurant in Japan is much different from those found in North America and other places. In Japan the sushi experience is suppose to be pretty intimate with the chef.

I have no idea if that's true, but I would really like to check out some sushi places in Japan to see what they would be like.

i think you're referring to kaiseki. i met a kaiseki chef in toronto, and he'll feed 6 or at the most 8 a night. however he's the only chef and it's something like 12 courses. more than $500 a head. they do some pretty wild shit though.

i'm not a big fan of sushi. sashimi is awesome, but i don't like rice enough to want to have it in every bite

My wife and I have a Sushi Party every year. She took a class once on making sushi and I have been serving it for years as part of my catering. We even had a sushi chef at our wedding reception. Anyway, we have this party every year and we usually go all asian. I make a bunch of stuff as well but my focus is on the bar. I have a fully stocked bar in my house, I always keep it that way. For the party I make all the drinks, last year's specialty drinks were a Saki Martini, with a thinly sliced vermoth soaked cucumber round and A Midori Cosmo, Midori Liqour, Tripple Sec, Vodka and White Cranberry Juice with a Maraschino Cherry as a garnish. I am thinking about the drinks for this year. It's coming up soon.
