Agree or Disagree With Rosie O' Donnell, she has a right to speak her mind. The Neo-Con worshippers are calling for her Firing and even death, she has a right as an American citizen to speak her mind. If you want to support freedom of speech in America go Here and sign the petition.

You know that old Volatire saying "I may not agree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it"?

If it was anybody in the world but Rosie O'Donnel it would be one thing, but I wish to god she would just shut up.

free speech means you can ask for her to be fired too. it's a two way street...

I support Rosie and her quest 1000000%, but I ain't signing no fucking petition. That's just imbecilic.

The constitution provides enough power that no petition is necessary.

Enough with all the fucking petitions.

Go here: http://kissmyblackass.com to sign a petition to kiss my ass.

The consitution merely controls government laws. The owner of the media network is allowed to censor her show all he wants.

  10. I suport free speech for both sides, go Rosie and whoever is against you.

What constitutional rights do we have left? Label Rosie as a terrorist and she could find herself in a Quantamo camp.

Because whoever owns her show/network doesn't want her to work there...
the right of free press which means that a private media group has editorial control over it's media.

Oh really? So if this is the case, why is she still on the air?

There is no free press, but if that's what you want to believe, be my guest.

i meant that if she were fired, it'd be because the owner woulnd't want her there to espose whatever views she has. i haven't really been fallowing the story much, so i don't know if she stays or goes. the bottom line is that if she gets fired she isn't being censored by the g'vt, but rather a private business, which is fullly within it's rights.

and there is a free press, me and you are usuing it right now.

LMAO........free press?? The major networks amount to nothing more than a propaghanda machine.........the fourth branch of the government. If the powers that be want to silence her, she'll be fired.

There's not anyone middle of the road or grass roots on U.S. networks anymore. The guests on 'news' shows are always the same old cronies from Newsweek and retirees from the military.

the major networks are privately owned. if they want to be a propaganda machine, so what? it's their choice what they want to air. right-wing nativistic nationalism sells, it's true in every country.
however, you, me, everyone basically has the right to print and publish whatever materials we can within our means. there are some restrictions, like publishing diagrams for nuclear weapons and kiddie porn, but by and large we have a free press.
the very fact that you and me are able to discuss this stuff on a message board without (real) fear of prosection is testament to that.

All mainstream media in this country is owned by no more than four corporations. If you want to be so gullible and naive, believing we have free press, when all the major heads of media are members of the CFR, be my guest. It's documented fact the Bush administration has spent millions in fake news. It's documented fact that the Bush administration paid off radio talkshow host Armstrong Williams to promote "No Child Left Behind". I could go on and on....

AOL/Time/Warner, Viacom, and Fox own much of the media now.

The way presidential press conferences are being choreographed is a departure from the way it was in the past. Not to mention Tony Snow of Fox being the presidential press spokesman.

The argument that there is no free press because the major networks don't cover conspiracy theories 24 hours a day is a joke. This isn't 1962 when there were only a handful of major networks. There are hundreds of channels, and that's on top of all the newspapers, the websites, the magazines, the radio stations... and I'm only counting US media. Americans have access to foreign television, radio, newspapers, magazines, websites.

There isn't a free press argument that says people have to watch the media you want them to watch.
