Super Moon Tonight!

I'm at work, but hopefully I can go outside for a look.

 

I have been watching it. It started at 8:11 EST and will be at its peak 10:47 est...pm....I took photos already and they came out kind of ghostly already...will share some later, perhaps, when all is said and done. I just have to step out onto the porch and there it is....

BEAUTFIUL!!!!!

I just went out to look. Either it's too cloudy,or the moon is on the opposite side of the entrance to the building. I can't walk around to look, because I can't be away from my desk too long

Cold out there...it is definitely autumn..I keep coming back in for warmth...color is still brilliant white.....no change to blood red or whatever it is supposed to do.....LOL

solar eclipse is 1000 times better



moon eclipse is just not that thrilling

i just went out to look. there was no sign of any moon or stars in the sky, so i assume it's cloudy. that assumption was further supported by the fact that it was starting to rain.

anyway, i'm with bbad on this one. there's a lunar eclipse once every month, it's hard to get that excited just because one is happening faster than usual.

started out as a huge full moon tonight and right now, only a crescent is showing left....almost fully eclipsed now.....and then what? When the moon starts to be seen again it is a blood red color?

i actually went out and looked all over the sky. there's nothing there. there was one star, and then the clouds closed over it.

and now my neighbor saw me standing next to his car looking around suspiciously, so i'm probably the creepy thief in the complex now.

 

You should have been carrying binoculars as then they would have just figured you were a perv.

Sky is clear here and there is a good view of it. I am crappy at pics though so I will look at some other taken in ottawa instead. Mia is out watching with some of her friends and may get a good shot.
