Welp since I live in Milwaukee I know most of the good bands that come to Summerfest that are local.[Mainstream as well but thats standard] Summerfest is worth coming up to see at least a days worth of bands. This thread is to let you all know what bands I recommend. Other peoples input is welcome. Summerfest lasts from June 25th - July 5th. Here are my recommendations:
(note: im not listing any bands that need tickets to get into the Marcus Ampitheater, since most of them will be sold out)
June 25th Puddle of Mudd, Rancid, Rise Against, Toad King, Lovers, Take the Panda, Dirty Lingo
June 26th The Offspring, Talib Kweli, Carolina Liar, The Tossers
June 27th Sara Evans, BoDeans, The Binges, Think Floyd, Scarlet Escape
June 28th Union Pulse, John the Savage
June 29th CPO5, Lupe Fiasco, Heart, H2-OH, Needtobreathe, 5 man, The Wildbirds
June 30th Kingtown Rockers, Natty Nation, The Wailers, Staind, MC2, Soup, 2nd Thought, Dot Dot Dot
July 1st Sound Tribe Sector 9, Soulive, Rusted Root, Hitide.Lotide
July 2nd Guster, Judas Priest, Shiny Toy Guns, Whitesnake, Roots Collective, King Solomon, Kojo, Whiskey Bound
July 3rd Train, Gavin DeGraw, Shinedown, Luna Halo, The Roots, Father Phoenix
July 4th Flogging Molly, Anberlin, The Yardbirds, U2 Zoo, Huey Lewis and the News, Jet, SOiL, Theory of a Deadman, Invade Rome
July 5th The Color Truth, Relient K, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Veronics, Elvis Costello, G. Love & Special Sauce, Reel Big Fish, The English Beat

the bands in bold are the ones i'm going to, summerfest is right by my house and i get in free cuz i work there so i go as much as i can :D
i hope to see some of you there so i can share my joints and have a beer with you! :cheers2::sifone:

So you're telling me you've never heard of components of at least one of those bands?
The Yardbirds - Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page
The Wailers - Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Al Anderson

do you live under a rock?
