Some pictures I took the other day. Also from a kayak.

A dragonfly landed on my kayak:

Nice...I am not sure how far north you may have been kayaking past Vimy bridge, but you may have passed by my place. I live just off Riverside dr

DO you live near Chapman mills conservation area at all? If you do you should stop by some day. My mom owns a boat rental business there and I work there on most weekends for her. If you see lots of bright green kayaks going up and down the river near the bridge, or white stand up paddleboards, those are hers.

I was in New Westminster for a while, then right in Vancouver, near Kingsway.

Oh, I thought you lived in Vancouver! I thought maybe those were old pictures from Ottawa. (I'm so confused...)

Thank you. World domination... lol You wouldn't say that if you had seen them desperately fleeing the jogger. Poor guy, I think their fussing frightened him more then he scared them!

    Hello,

    ;)

It gets really bad if they join forces with the geese or the swans ;).

    Regards

Lake St. Louis on the west island of Montreal. A shame we can't swim in it (the locals have dubbed it Lake St. Sewer).

Ah now the geese, that's a different story. The ducks are pretty docile. Canada geese are brutal. They march in hordes and snap at anything in sight. Not to mention the creative array of droppings they leave everywhere. It can be a challenge weaving through it all trying to avoid stepping on it. Had it been the geese the jogger startled, he would have lost his shirt. Or possibly something more valuable to him!

I haven't seen swans here. We used to watch them at Beaver Lake as kids, up on Mount Royal.

    Hello,

Yepp, geese are a vicious bunch of guys. I remember, as a lad, the geese were running after me and snapping at my calves and what else they could get. Since then I like them best with stuffing and fresh out of the oven ;).

    Regards
    Gyro
