You are the 1st person to post on Church of the Good Earth in a long time. I hope you find the help you need on the forums. There are some good people here.
I'm sorry that you've lived a hard life Kansas. These two links (to pages on HF) may be helpful: Alternative Treatments for Physical and Mental Illness Self-Treatment Methods for Physical and Mental Health If you're still in upstate NY, I think there's at least one acupuncture school there that has a teaching clinic. I think it's in Seneca Falls. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, you might have what's called deficient blood, but I'm only guessing. I'm not sure what conventional diagnosis or treatment you'd get. If you're able to see an acupuncturist, they might be able to give you a formal diagnosis and a patent formula for it. Patent formulas are usually pretty cheap (you have to be careful about what brands you use, as some are much less reliable than others). Once you've got a prescription you might be able to continue getting it online without having to make more follow up appointments, although follow ups would be ideal. While the Shen Men point is a very important point in acupuncture, I haven't heard of any acupuncturists ever recommending piercing this point, or getting any piercings at all. That's another thing to ask an acupuncturist about. A book called "The Courage to Heal" is a book that is often recommended to women and girls who have survived child sex abuse. I hope something can help.
