Hey groovy friends! New around here ✌️

Feeling trapped in a world that doesn't quite align with my soul, I find solace in the sanctuary of my melodies. It's been years since my parents went their separate ways, with my dad giving me the space to explore my true self through music and introspection. While my day job keeps me busy, it's in the rhythm of my music and my inner musings that I find pure peace.

Society's constraints feel stifling, and by my mom's side, I struggle to express my authentic essence. Vulnerability creeps in, leading me to seek guidance on how to navigate this divide. Residing in Norway, a land of freedom and natural wonders, my heart longs for music and my own freedom. My dad embraces my uniqueness, yet with my mom, I sense a hesitancy towards my untamed spirit.

In my free time, I seek to leave society and enter my own bubble, where I can be true to myself without judgment. My dad accepts and encourages this side of me, knowing that it's where my heart truly lies. How can I bridge the gap between my desire for freedom and authenticity, while still navigating the expectations of a world that often feels out of sync with who I am?

A soul aligned career path maybe. These can be tricky though, much creative/artistic/holistic work lines are under financial attack during the cost of living crisis and with the world putting mass financial pressures on a very large number of people low to middle incomes. So such career changes are not without stresses of their own. Most will be self employed. Also much would depend on local clientele and local business. It is still a lot of work to get something off the ground even though it may happen somewhat more naturally if you find something your love doing and turn it into work. Also a downside is it does not always work out quite as one might have imagined, either in periods, or what something turns into.

Otherwise you can stay with your existing arrangements and enjoy that space where you are free, the grass is not always greener on the other side.

You may get to a point where you just have to take the chance, or not. Who is around you can have an impact on your life choices who encourages you or not.
As you see yourself your parents might have different views on that matter. Either you will hit a point where you make a change or not, just feel your way through it. Maybe write down what you imagine you could be doing as an alternative with your current financial situation... as hypothetical plans and review it daily and see how you feel about it all,. and see what appears possible.. and what you can have a a back up plan if things do not quite work out as you anticipate.

Do some free work in that area after work maybe and see how it feels and goes... see if it makes any connections.

You tend to get out what you put in. That in itself can take a leap of faith and some confidence and energy input.

    Good luck.

Sounds like you've got a good balance of perspectives in your life. I recommend trying to understanding both sides and especially the side that doesn't feel good to you. There may be some wisdom there that you can learn from if you're open to learning it.

Ultimately you will have to to strike out and live your own life but it's good to absorb the lived experiences from those who have gone before.
