So I have not really had any friends that have had babies other than my sister and she did not get the stretch marks but I was having dinner with a friend who recently had a baby, lil Gunther, and she was complaining about her stretch marks and so I asked to take a look and honestly I think they're cool. It looks like a big bear has grabbed her waist and clawed her. Weirdos pay good money for scar work like that.
With my first born...I ended up with only one stretch mark..it was small and near my left hip, like a small gouge in the skin...it was smooth and shiney and I liked it. With my next two kids...they were big babies which meant my stomach was huge with them...I ended up having lots of little stretch marks around and under my belly button. I hate them and I would pay good money to remove them.
i sometimes get stretch marks from weight lifting (not so much anymore; i think it was mostly from doing squats and i rarely do those anymore). they always went away after a few days though. i always wondered why pregnancy stretch marks are apparently permanent. because they are more severe? because the skin is stretched longer? i guess i could probably google it.
I got some on my hips and a couple on my stomach, they dont bother me really, loads of mine just disappeared after I gave birth/lost the weight.. but the ones that stayed went from red to silvery and shiny so I guess those were the ones that scarred.
A male friend of mine got real fat in a relatively short term (he was always skinny before) and he has staying stretch marks on his belly as well that look like he got grabbed by a bear
I got stretch marks out the wazoo when I had my growth spurt that took me from 4'9" to 5'1" in a summer. Most of them have faded, but they're still there.
Me too. I got stretch mark as a teenager, they're barely noticeable now, but it used to make me very self-conscious. I think some people are more prone to them, when pregnant I only got a couple on the sides, they're not very noticeable. I kinda like them.
My sister and mom have them really bad, especially my sister. I had thought during my pregnancy I too would get nasty stretch marks, as I believe it's genetic. I didn't. I'm a lot smaller then them though, and I gained less weight than they did, so it wasn't too surprising.
