No. Not completely. They fade to silver/nearly invisible usually, but they never completely disappear. Cocoa butter tends to help them fade faster, ie a lotion with it (like the body shop's body butter with cocoa butter jesus that's a lot of bodies and butters)
I feel it's part of life... Women do worry way too much about stretch marks... but whatever floats your mattress.
Yeah, you should have seen my lower belly when I had my twins. Looked just like a road map. But, it's barely noticable now, just a silvery shade.
So if you wore a bikini to the beach it wouldnt really be noticable unless you were right up close? I ask because I gained and then lost a lot of weight and I have some on my breasts and stomach and they are red right now and I DESPISE them.
It shouldn't really be noticable unless you're really up close. Seriously, they will fade, they won't look bad at all after a while. I wish I could tell you how long it took for mine to fade, but I can't really remember. But like I said, I had major, major stretch marks that were pretty deep too and now you can't tell unless like I said, you were really close up. So I don't really see why you wouldn't be able wear a bikkini!
They fade .....I was lucky and didnt get any , but my youngest daughter got them VERRY bad with her 4 babies.....they were red and deep..but they have faded to where you have to really be looking hard to see them.
See I feel bad cause I have them and I dont have any kids. I just gained like thirty pounds in a year because I was on birth control and antidepressants, drank some... yadda yadda.. my boobs went up two cup sizes in about 8 months and the stretch marks showed up. I have lost weight now and they seem WORSE. They are red but not deep. They look very superficial.. like scratch marks that didnt break the skin really.
Im sure they weill fade , Robins were verry bad, they made dents in her flesh , but all they are now is little white lines if you look real close.
you can have them surgically covered but risk further scarring.. otherwise they just fade Ive had an ongoing issue with stretch marks where Id gain and then work off the weight and it fluctuated farrrr tooo much but thats what stress and the pageant life can do to a person tis lame.. but Im sooo over that I love my stretch marks they make me who I am I spose... sometimes lol
I love you too, ihmurria. You ain't a blonde waste of skin to me. Stretch marks or no stretch marks... Stretch marks allow me to see the woman in woman...and they just might make me horny. Yikes! (For the sake of completeness, I should mention I'm paraphrasing Dostoyevsky's mission of "finding the man in man." Couldn't just pretend...:& )
When I was about 12 or 13, my boobs suddenly shot from AA's to B's in what seemed like a day, so I had some massive stretch marks. I was soooo self-conscious. But now, they're almost invisible and I really like my boobs. I think they disappeared a year or two after the growth spurt, but I can definitely say vitamin E cream helps like a miracle. I have horrible stretch marks on my legs and I used some vit. E cream and they definitely became less-visible in a matter of weeks.
nah they don't go away unless you get some derma abrasion or something done, but they will fade... and tanning helps.... but it causes cancer. I'm just saying his because mine on my stomach have just gotten lighter but are still there, just as they were when I first notcied them. When I was pregnant the first time, I held a mirror under my belly .... just to see what was going on down there .... and almost had a heart attack when I first noticed all the red lines.
my boyfriend has much worse stretch marks than i do. its not just a woman thing. i didnt realise i had any until last year when i got really tanned and could only just see them. i dont think its something to be self conscious about though, ive never met anyone who doesnt have them at all (i used to think i didnt)
ahhh me too!!! same exact thing. and the girl above me is right, ive known men with awful stretch marks :-\
I've seen them almost completly disappear. You could probably notice if you were a dermatologist, or going over someone with a scope. And if you're going over someone with a scope, you're either a medical examiner, or have some sorta fetish. If you've got the fetish, I assume you likes 'em.
