I'm all that is puny and sick at the moment. I'm dealing with a leaking nose that is more annoying than anything. I'm tempted to plug it with tissues and dare anyone to look at me funny. My own sniffling is driving me crazy.

 

Plug it with a tampon?

Then when people look at you funny at least they'll have a reason.

Fuck people, I say. Fuck people and their inability to comprehend what it's like to be sick when they aren't sick.

And then when they are, you never hear the fucking end of it.

 

Yeah, strep throat can be wicked nasty. I had it myself a few months ago. Thankfully nobody else around me caught it, which is actually quite surprising.

Take it easy, drink plenty of fluids (I know it hurts!). Did they give you anything to help ease the throat pain? I don't know about you, but when I get Strep (which I tend to do once every year for some reason) it gets so bad that I can actually feel my throat peeling from the inside. Gross! My doctor gave me a recipe for some stuff called Magic Mouthwash that I mix up at home and it helped with the pain quite a bit I thought.

And they didn't give me anything for pain, even though I can't swallow any sort of food without intense burning pain in my left ear, I just got antibiotics and ear drops (I also have an ear infection AND sinusitis) but ibuprofen seems to help a bit.

Oh, and the best part of all, the antibiotics gave me a yeast infection! Yay!



I think this is karma for not having really been sick properly in 3 years.

 

Geez, you must feel like total crap with all of that going on. Not fun! Well here's hoping you have a quick recovery!
