hello all fellows BF'ers, since a few days ago a couple of tiny bumps appeared in my left sole, they go unnoticed by walking on them but sometimes they wake up, tipically in the evening, or when you stop walking over and touch your sole, and start itching like mad. finally i decided to dig in with a sterile-flamed needle , piercing the thick crust for the underlying mantle :) . a *very tiny* bubble of clear serum erupted, no blood, i rubbed it with spirit and so far the itches are gone. is there a particular name for this  didn't look like an old thorn, and that's surely not chilblain...

a fungal skin infection can sometimes start as tiny itchy blisters before they turn into the more typical rash, but I was afraid Id get in trouble for even suggesting that a barefooter could catch a fungal infection! ;)

that's why this thing puzzled me 2 b honest... we keep repeating mantra-like that barefooters just won't get fungal infections... didn't look and feel like different from a fungus thing though, but differently from that, draining them two bumps didn't result in new ones blooming around as one could expect. maybe it was something i threaded on lately ? i've been spending several days hiking barefoot in grass , rocks, swamps and mud, lots of mud, and who knows what i can have possibly picked. it itched like mad , im not a squeamish guy but all that itching was too much to take . insect bite ? poisonous plant ? fungi ? well, cutting and draining it from the tiny amount of serum, not pus, so far cured it instantly. good to know, at least.
