Strange experience while looking into mirror

A couple nights ago, I got mildly stoned. Went into the bathroom, and stared at my face... and the best way to describe it, focused on existence/reality and thought of the subjectivity of human perception. While staring at my face, my face became clearer and clearer. Then suddenly, my identity seemed to have melted away, and my face turned 2d and had very bright neon colors attached to it. When this happened, I panicked, and everything went back to normal.

I really don't know what to make of that experience, but that reality had a sense of truth to it... although, I don't know what that means, exactly. It was an incredible experience.

Has anyone else ever experienced that?

 

I saw things in 2d when I first started getting stoned, and patterns floating around too... That hasn't happened in a loooooooooooong time though.

 

When looking in the mirror stoned the other day, my right eye started drifting off diagonally... like when Peter Griffin is Uma Thurman's eye-wrangler for Pulp Fiction

 

Yeh, if i look in the mirror while blazed and focus on my face then it goes all 2D and my facial features become really distinguished and seem like a 2D image pasted onto my head.

 

when I look in the mirror, everything around me is blurry except whatever I'm focusing at. And whatever I'm focusing at has a shadow behind it and it kinda zooms in.

 

when i look in the mirror i see a stud

 

Hmm. I read something about mirrors at lsdexperience.com. Something like, the entire universe that you know is contained within you, and examining yourself can show things that you want and things that make you yourself.

Either way, mirrors are really trippy, stoned, tripping, or sober. I could just look at them all day sometimes. Probably because of my beauty.

 

I find i will always get stuck on a mirror when im high, you walk in after smoking a joint, trying to decipher how much of it has hit you. While walking down your hallway you pass a mirror, walk back to it and proceed to stare at yourself. Before you know it like 3 whole minutes have passed and you have been zoning out on absolutely nothing but a mirror. Yup, you're stoned.

I was once staring into this really big and really clean mirror, leaning in and cutting out anything but the mirror from my line of vision. It felt like the world shifted and everything that i could see in the mirror was reality. I was just standing across from myself, almost like an OBE (obviously not that profound). Its hard to explain the feeling but i'm sure someone knows what im talking about haha.

 

ugh I hate mirrors when Im tripping, I go under excruciating self examination.

 

I love staring in the mirror when high because its a very trippy experience.

 

i like it when im high, its just like when your high and you observe and learn shit about other people that you don't notice, cept its with yourself.

 

I will have to try this when I smoke tonight.

 

mirrors always weird me out, cause I feel like im moving around a bit, swaying, etc but when i look in the mirror my senses tell me I might be moving around but my eyes tell me thats not true.

 

that same damn thing happened to me on new years eve. I panicked when i saw the neon colors. then it went away. I thought i was about to die

 

i've had driftng facial features, colorful morphing gloss, and also disappearance and reappearance of facial features.


but i'm used to that now

what i find weird also is when i look at the full moon in a clear sky sometimes,
the "brightness" setting of my eye starts fluctuating
as if it cannot choose between general lumination of total environment, and the bright "spot" illumination by the moon
so my vision becomes brighter for a short time, and then dims again for a little longer
this then happens 2 times per second or so
i want to try to film my eyes when it happens
i suspect actually my pupils get bigger and smaller when it happens
this only happens to me when i have smoked, or still feel the efffects a little
scared the crap out of me the first time

 

i should try it.
me and my buddy were on shrooms once and he ended up staring into the mirror for like 3hrs straight no joke.

 

U really dont need to be high at all to trip out when you look into a mirror. If you steadily focus on your eyes youll start to see your face morph obviously this effect gets more intense when ur fried or just really stoned

 

Holy fucking old thread, just to say that...

I know a lot of people get this, especially on psychedelics. I personally don't, I've had flashes of change or whatnot sober and high, but generally when sober I see nothing abnormal, and when high or on psychedelics if I look long enough or in the right way, I see how grotesque people, and specifically me, really are... but I can see it about others without a mirror.

 

Most times I smoke when I'm alone at my house I'll look in the mirror right after. I could do it for hours and I usually do it for a decent amount of time. It's so entertaining to just let your mind go while thinking about yourself and make yourself laugh.

One time though I held my eyelid open while I looked down so I could see a lot of the white of my eye. It sent an instant shock of fear/plain shock when I saw it. It made me think of myself as an actual body just being operated by my spirit. Kinda creepy lookin. It's weird when you see parts of your body you don't normally see lol. It was like looking at the terminator when he loses all his "flesh".

Nothing like you've described though.

 

I've never had any visual experience like that from weed. I'm jealous.

I wish every now and then I could have a trip like that from just a little green
