This is a interesting article. Have you ever experienced "time slippage"? From www.MysteriousUniverse.org Cases of Time Slips Nov 6th in Bizarre by Jason Offutt A white Ford pickup pulled up to cattle pasture near Ponca City, Oklahoma, in early Fall 1971, and stopped at a gate. Karl, Mark, and Gordon worked for cattle feed distributor and were sent to this remote area to pick up a feeder. What they found there has kept them silent for 41 years. “We opened the gate, which was barbed wire with no lock, and entered,” Karl said. “We went on the property, which was covered with grass up to and over the hood of the truck.” They drove through the tall grass to the tank that sat close to a red barn and got out of the truck. “We realized the tank was almost half full and too heavy to load,” Karl said. “We decided to leave and drove around the red barn and we saw a large, two story white house, with no lights in front of us.” The trio drove back to the cattle feed company and the boss said he’d drain the tank and they could pick it up tomorrow. “We went to the location to retrieve the tank the next night,” Karl said. “This time we decided to go through the old white big house on the hill and brought our shotguns.” They drove onto the property over the path they’d made through the grass the day before and loaded the tank. Then they pulled around the barn toward the house. What they saw burned into their memories. “It was no longer there,” Karl said. “We walked up the hill where it stood and there were no signs of demolition, no foundation, nothing at all. What we all seemed to witness the night before was no longer there. We have talked to each other over the years but none of us can begin to explain this vision.” Did these men witness a slip in time? Time slips have been reported throughout history. English women vacationing in France in 1901 claimed they stepped into the French Revolution, and two English couples traveling in Spain in the 1970s stayed at an oddly archaic hotel that was simply gone on their return journey. Physicists like Albert Einstein, Michio Kaku and Stephen Hawking have all said time travel is theoretically possible; our science just can’t achieve it. But what if nature can? The light in the sky shown white, far from the greens and reds Jake saw during the Aurora Borealis of 2004, visible in North America as far south as the lower Midwest. Jake, 15, stood outside his parents home in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, around 10 p.m. 28 May, leaning against a truck and looking at the lights. He didn’t know his life was about to change. “A bright white glow suddenly filled the northern horizon,” he said. “This looked nothing like the northern lights, nor did it behave like them.” The light moved like the light of a copy machine. The single bar of brightness moved from west to east over Jake’s head and disappeared. “I thought that I should maybe go inside at this time, and found myself unable to move,” he said. Numbness grew in his arms and legs and he blacked out. When he woke, he knew he’d been somewhere else. “I felt woozy and almost sedated,” he said. “Time seemed muddled in my head.” He walked into the house to find he’d been outside an hour. “It took most of the night for me to tell my parents what happened, and most of the time I kept telling them that I thought the calendar was wrong, it should at least be after 2008,” he said. “To this day, my mother remembers bits of this, mainly because I looked at her and asked point blank, ‘Is the black man president?’” What happened to Jake? Seizure? Psychological phenomena? Or did Jake accidentally take a brief, four-year step into 2008? Jake’s slip is just one in a long line of stories from people who have brushed against a different time, such as RAF pilot Sir Victor Goddard who encountered airplanes in 1935 that didn’t exist until 1939, and a 100-year-old Swiss watch found in a Chinese Ming dynasty tomb. People may slip like this all the time. Kell opened the door of his 1999 Chevrolet S-10 next to a convenience store gas pump in Springfield, Missouri, when a large man accosted him. “As I left the gas station, some large melon-headed man dressed in a business suit yelled, ‘What year is it?’” Kell said. The man stood at a spot Kell would have walked by when he left the store, but he hadn’t seen him. The man wore a dark black suit “with a rough fiber texture,” Kell said. “Along the lines of the things Teddy Roosevelt could wear.” “What year is it?” the man yelled again. The man was white, about 35 to 40 years old, clean-shaven, normal, but he’d asked an odd question. Kell answered it. “Two-thousand three,” Kell told him. The man’s face contorted in anger. “What year is it?” he screamed at Kell. “Again I said ‘2003.’” The large man screamed the question one more time. “I said ‘2003’ so he could hear me,” Kell said. “Then he quit asking.” Kell glanced away from the man as he slid into his truck, but safely inside, Kell turned to get another look at him. The man was gone. “He disappeared from the front of the gas station,” Kell said. In the seconds it took Kell to slip into his truck, the man simply vanished. Kell looked, but the man hadn’t stepped inside the store – the only place he could have gone in that short amount of time. He was just gone. “These stories are not so rare as people think,” Kell said. “But the stories are so bizarre that I don’t think anyone would want to come foreword to tell it. Who would believe you?”
Interesting, indeed. I have said that an attempt to dematerialize and materialize in some other time period, would one into a quivering mass of meat. But how do any of us know what the answers are to the mysterious events that take place? How for example, did I know that my little cat had gotten run over by my car when I was on Oahu and the cat was on Maui when it happened. But I knew 100%. Not the same---or is it? I hope we find out about these occurances one day.
^The guy in the suit in the gas station story reminded me of this movie with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsSBlJDlDls"]Somewhere In Time Pt 1 - YouTube After I found the movie I got cought up in it again and had to stop myself from watching it at the end of part 2. It was stirring up my emotions too much. I think it's the only movie I've ever seen with Jane Seymour. She was very beautiful in this movie.
i'm pretty sure i get it a lot, but it is a lot less obvious... i think i posted on here about something very similar, some time back... i lost about 50mins of time when it felt like 30 seconds... i can prob find the link if you're interested to read it at some point... not sure what to make of it, but i think i either actually switch dimensions and/or i see through the veils of something or other... it might not be the same thing, not sure, but i am sure that time is not just linear...
one time while inhaling an (unmentioned substance) in the woods I was.. I was transported to some African tribal region. A women sitting on the ground near a grass hut looked at me :as if "where the fuck did I come from". She looked just as scared as I felt. Around her was a few other native males with colorful zulu shields they were not in the mood to be my friends. It was at this time, I took off my eye wear and dropped them. I returned to my place and time without my eye glasses. I only moved a few feet to where I was originally standing. And never found them. This experience was more than a drug experience, due to the fact Ive never been able to replicate it with the same or more drugs. The place I was does not look anything like Africa. Semi industrial overgrown back lots full of weeds and woods.. Around the same time.. An old man with his throat cut, come walking out the woods. Smoke was coming from the area of his throat that was cut. This man said "many a young man come here to find themselves" he then vanished in the woods..
i've never had a time slip that i'm aware of, but take out the backseat and the truck in the OP is almost exactly what i drive.
i looked for the link, but my post was made such a long old time ago that the time has expired on being able to get there again... i have it all written down somewhere, so i'll find it and post relevant bits soon as i can hun  sounds like you know more than you lettin' on Ty? (ps hope you keepin warm :grouphug: ) i think some kinds of drugs are a short cut to seeing things very differently... cool experiences be interested to hear what you find out MamaP x :smilielol5:
here's one: "it's about 1988/9 and i am pregnant with my youngest daughter. i am about 5 minutes late to pick up my oldest daughter from school and i have my very young son in his buggy. i am moving quite quickly up blythe hill in forest hill, london. as i get to the top of the hill i become aware of a strange rhythmic whirring sound to my right. i look, and to my amazement there is an enormous blue wheel spinning slowly in the sky. i notice that there are loads of them at varying distances from me and each is emitting it's own sound depending on how fast it is spinning. then, in the distance, i notice what i can only describe as a dancing city of fluorescent, crystaline light in the direction of east london! it is beautiful and i stop to take the sight in but can't stop for long because i am late, as mentioned before. i stay there for about 30 seconds to one minute and then move on again. when i get to my daughters' school i am met by my very angry friend who is sitting waiting for me with my daughter. i assume she is angry because she also has children and is a busy parent. it was only by chance that i discovered some time later that the reason she was so angry was because, according to her, i was infact 45-60 mins late.... to this day, i don't know what happened to us in that time. i have no memory to explain the gap..." it's not a complete description, but you get the gist of it here i think... there have been other types of time slippage more recently.. not sure what to make of these either... i keep on doing things like the washing up, come away, do something else... later i notice that the washing up has not been done afterall... or i make a coffee/tea/drink, put it in the lounge then when i go to drink it, it is not there... there is no coffee and the kettle is cold... it could be stress, but it doesn't feel like stress, although i am stuttering a LOT recently... :juggle:
seems it is coming to the fore more recently, yes... another example for me, which happened quite recently, was the case of the old case... arf... i had an old lockable small case thing which belonged to my dad... i was throwing out stuff a little while back and threw it out... it took a lot to let go of it... some weeks later, i saw it in the local secondhand market... i was quite taken aback and loitered there for ages, wanting to go get it back.. i didn't go get it... i took photos, but let go of it... i cried... sad, i know, but hey-ho... aaaanyway, a little while ago, i dicovered tht it was still in my room... i still can't work out whats going on... but something strange is a-foot... btw, it's a distinctive case.... never seen one like it, other than it... it's like i was experiencing/remembering two of many parallel universes or something? i'm bonkers? sensitive? what do others notice specifically? or is it just a general sense for others? here, i mean... the articles illustrate that something "other" is closer to another truth... ?
Not specifically "Time" related but similar to your father's case. While living out in California I was doing some work on an older house I was renting and I found an old/vintage key that didn't fit any doors in the house. I kept it because I tend to collect ancient/old bits and pieces and keys especially because they can "unlock" things. (<<< That being in a spiritual sense) About ten years later I buy this house in Ohio where I live now. That key fit the door to my altar room. Time anomaly or tear in some space/time continuum? I don't know... But the key certainly found it's home.
