I found this youtube video and laughed out loud. But watching it made me think, it is kind of funny how similar these two mediums are, yet there's such a big division sometimes between sexual orientation. Especially when it comes to masculinity. Do you guys think we're moving forward or backwards when it comes to this issue, especially between straight men and queer men. Either way, I hope you enjoy this for a laugh
well there was once upon a time an udon ya in portland oregon called the super bowl that i liked. which i'm guessing is why whoever is in charge of sprots merkindizing made us have to say superb owl for a couple of years. male or female, gay or straight, gender based behaviors are illogical and just lame excuses for thoughtlessness.
Its strange. No matter how much has changed, Still yet to see a representation of gay guys in TV shows, TV sitcoms , youtube parodies thats even remotely close to reality
what's really strange, or seems so to me, is that half the people writing them, are gay themselves, and this is nothing new either. and the people in politics who hate open gayness, turn out half to be also, and basically saying, that's ok for me but not for you.
Oh, thats really strange is it? Something you just made up is really strange Half the people that write gay characters are gay themselves? Because there are that many gay writers out there. And half the people in politics that hate open gayness....who are they noawadays exactly? Political suicide nowadays unless one is running for office in Chechnya or Africa
yup. a yes there are. and b, yes, i wish it was that simply or automatic, yes the are political suicide when they're outed, provided anyone notices. i don't keep track of who anyone is, and i'm not going to 'out' anyone who doesn't choose to do so themselves, but yes i am speaking from personal contacts, among other things. the demographics might be guesswork in detail, i only meant that as a rough approximation, but really, were talking about a very much larger minority then you claim to be aware of. large enough that i'm not even at all certain that it is a minority.
i have to assume you're being satyrical, as this has been really old news for decades if not centuries.
So true. I worked with a guy for more than 10 years and only discovered that he was gay when he invited me to dinner at his home and I discovered that his partner was male. Of all the gay guys (and women) who I have known and worked with over the years, only one was anything like the stereotypical portrayal in films and he was a complete pain in the ass.
I never find it amusing when straight people pretend to be gay. Or when guys dress up like girls. I just think it's kind of juvenile. I think there's a big divide between feminism and masculinism in our society. Females pretty much say any girl can be a real woman. A real woman isn't defined by anything. Yet they turn around and try to define what a real man is on a regular basis, and it has a lot to do with being a straight family man with lots of chest hair who can build a canoe. I think it's high time men had the same leverage, where all men are considered real men, even so-called feminine gay men. And I'm not just saying this to be a pain in the ass. I think all men are real men.
What is old news? You havent said anything. Just make believe from all your personal contacts of all the gay tv script writers and closeted politicians you suposedly know We know you have never personally known any. Why would you?
