Str8 Actors Playing Gay Characters

I recently saw the DVD Bad Boy Street, a French made movie where the two main characters are Claude (Yann deMonterno) the Parisian and Brad (Kevin Miranda) the young American guy he finds drunk on the sidewalk and brings up to his apartment to sleep it off.

 Both actors are French. There are some very explicit, just short of porno love scenes where these two guys make skin on skin contact.

IDK if the actors are gay, but it occurred to me that American str8 actors would have a real problem with that kind of rubbing, cuddling and open mouth kissing another guy. Of course French str8 male actors probably have a more liberal view of this than do Americans.

Does anyone know anything about these actors. I can't find anything on their sexual orientation. They have both been used by the writer/director Todd Verow in other films, so maybe they are gay acquaintances of his. Which would explain how convincing they were in those love scenes.

 

Senn Penn and James Franco made got pretty close in Milk.

 

What about some scenes in Brokeback mountain. They are heterosexuals as well I think.

 

Yes, I thot of Brokeback Mtn but they did a little kissing and the sex scene was very non-explicit. Click on the movie link to see what I was talking about with all the skin to skin action and the open mouth tongue kissing. I really think these guys are gay (would like to think that maybe ) because they really got the love scenes down as if it was familiar territory with them.

 

I've heard a lot of straight men do gay porn because it pays so well.

 

Gay has largely ceased to be a particular identity in many metro areas of Europe for many guys from their teens into their 40s. An unexpected number of people are showing signs of complete opportunism. I do not see the two actors being really any different than the new mainstream ... The attitude is like, "hm, this is where we are today. Tomorrow? Who knows?"... People are simply having sex. No one is worried too much about the details!

The worst effort I've seen was in I love you Phillip Morris, which could have ended up a really awesome movie given the story and the script.

And Jim Carrey was ok in it. trouble is Ewan McGregor did possibly the worst job of trying to play a gay guy ever.

I watched the extras on the DVD, and in them McGregor says something like, He didnt want to do it seeming like a straight guy playing a gay guy - which I suppose to him means to suck badly.

Unbearable to watch solely cos of McGregor

 

Eric McCormack did a pretty good job in Will and Grace.
