On February 16th, 2009, Sleddale Hall, aka Crow Cragg, aka Uncle Monty’s cottage from Withnail and I, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder by Savills Auctioneers in London.

Withnail and I is loved by people all over the world. And it is up to these people to protect a piece of Britain’s cultural history and stop it from falling into the hands of the terrible c*nts who would renovate it beyond recognition, or even worse, destroy it.

We need to act soon, so we have set up this website in order to try and raise funds amongst fellow Withnail fans to save Uncle Monty’s.

If we fail to raise the asking price, or are outbid, then all the funds raised will go to charity and will be no worse off for having tried. But if we succeed, then we will have secured the future of Uncle Monty’s for years to come.

Not to mention all donors will have somewhere to go on holiday by accident to.

So please tell EVERYONE about this. We need to act fast we only have 4 weeks.
