Normally I wouldn't make a whole thread on this, but the dinner hour is approaching and this in some form is what will be for dinner.

Alright so normally I make this "slop" and it goes

-Ground beef seasoned in garlic powder, cayenne and cumin

cook that in a pan till it's almost done, add in a bunch of eggs, mix it all around till it's about done and add in sweet and sour sauce, and voila, it's freakin awesome.

But I want more to add to it to stretch it more.

    My options are
    -can of baked beans
    or
    -can of chili
    -white rice

now on the surface chili seems like the logical option, but it just seems like it'd just be basically adding more beef to it, not really anything different.

So opinions, use your taste buds.

    *edit*
    also white rice

That's what I'm thinking now, I totally forgot there was rice until noodles made me think of it for some reason.

I like the beans idea. Chili would overpower your other ingredients i think.

What I'd do is boil the rice and fry up the ground beef. After the ground beef is done, dump the chili in there and let it simmer for like 5 minutes. Remove from pan when done, then put the rice in the frying pan, make a hole in the middle, and scramble however many eggs you are going to use in the hole, then mix it all together and fry it up a little, like the Asians do. Then mix it with the ground beef and chili.

Nah man, fuck the eggs, heres what you do. Unless you can do this without making your eggs cooked as shit, which now that I think about it you actually can. Cook both seperate, then mix them together and put them in the pan. Mix in some cheese and whatever else you want in there, and melt mad cheese on top. Then put it in the oven.

Man you guys don't know what you're missing by tossing out the eggs, the eggs is what makes this slop great.

Meat is now cooking, I think i'm going to settle for rice, possibly baked beans too, not sure.

Trust, I know it sounds nasty, hence why I call it slop, it was one of those "jesus there's nothing in the house what can i do with eggs, meat and sweet and sour sauce" type of nights on day and this came around. Make the simple recipie and I guarantee you tongue will shit bricks from happiness.

As for the new and improved recipie, I've settled on rice, because I found jalapeno cheese to mix in with the meat/soy sauce/eggs

Indeed. I put many spices in my ramen, as well as butter. I've never taken the time to put any meat in my ramen, but I'm certain it would be bomb.

Baked Rice is the bomb. Real easy. Oven 350. Boil some water. Two cups rice in a baking dish, add salt and pepper and two pats of butter. Pour two to two and a half cups of boiling water over the rice. (depending if you like dry or moist rice) Stir. Cover with foil and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Comes out fluffy and yummy.
