Haven't been there before, some friends have though.

The sheepdogs are awesome. Hung out with them a bit years ago in Hamilton and London. Gave the lead singer a few joints once in London because he was dry and didn't have anyone to grab from.

my strawberry jam did not bring back the memories it was intended to....scent is our strongest memory trigger.….at least I remember hearing that from a doctor before.....maybe it was a judge....

anyhoo.….I am thinking my mom must have made raspberry jam and not strawberry jam.....so I may buy some rasberries today

i make a raspberry jam with few ingredients, and low sugar to boot!
mine is basically just berries, a little sugar, maybe a half cup at most, and lemon juice. no added pectin, cook until it sheets off the back of a spoon. i havent made it in awhile. the flavor is somuch better than the faster pectin plus a shitton of sugar method. but most people dont have or make the time to learn how to do it the older way.

 

Jam without a lot of sugar? Never heard of!

 

I just don't. Didn't want to be presumptuous initially, and more recently I don't really want to because I never have here. I have had bad results with internet forums turning against me in the past where I had a high profile.

 

That guitarist sounds like (s)he has a string or two out of tune.

 

it exists this has some info on the 'rules' with low sugar adjustments. when i did canned peaches i did a super-light syrup too, so much better than the sticky heavy syrups.

Highly possible... 12 string, very few people had access to tuners back then, highly stoned... etc.

But the whole tape has some pretty bad wow and flutter to it... tuning could be close to perfect and you'd never know.

 

I read martha sttewarts recipe for simple jam and cut her sugar by 2/3...….I was shocked at the sugar in jam recipes....is the cook time hours?....I didnt kow the spoon trick....I also screwed up and added water at the beginning because it just looked like it needed some lol.....ended up having to boil that off until it was nice

it tastes great but I am still gona try raspberry next
