So paid deposit for my new cue. he'll start in about 2 months making it for me. I'm choosing slightly heavier and long with a flat face butt on one side? Wood will be like a more brown wood and I might have a checkered flag pattern on the end I haven't decided yet. The main shaft I think will be ash like mine is now. 9mm tip. 3/4 snooker cue.

I'll find out the name of that wood. Started with a G. He asked if I knew what it was I said no but if he has left overs ill burn it.

Kinda like the one on the right side. With maybe this finish with the checkers but I might stick with traditional look.

 

I played really well this morning. Missed by a fraction in my first game, but I went in/off anyway so I would have lost, won my next two. Had a tricky shot at the end I needed to draw the cue ball back about 6 inches and I drew it back 12 but had an easy shot anyway. It freaked me out cause it an easy play but also really easy to not hit hard enough because you don't want the cue ball drawing back down too far and making a longer cut. I played it about as best I could and had an easy just off straight shot to win. That gave our team the draw and we led 12-11 but they won the last game and we drew the match 12-12 which was really heartbreaking because they a first division team and we needed that win to stay off the bottom. We have only 2 matches to go and are now a half game/draw behind 2nd last, basically we need to beat that team and hope for the best, or, we win both games and get the points for a bye round and make through. Well not make it through, but to stop from dropping to 3rd division.

I concur, I grew up in the country and we had outdoor cats who helped keep the snake/rat/chipmunk population down.

As someone who has chunks missing from my shutters and a hole in my vinyl siding, I can attest to the fact that chipmunks are indeed pests who could benefit from a lil population control via kitty cats

oh my....I agree sooooo much. I've been at LuAnn's watching whatever she has on...and when it was one of those "rescue dog shows" - which are often AWFUL enough to make me cry, I make her turn that shit. I know it goes on...I'm just not interested in seeing it.

and I agree with you also. When I had the crazy border collie that I loved so much (to a ridiculous amount really), I ALWAYS had to put him up when people came over because I never knew what his reaction might be.

Of course the one time we had a woman sort of home-invade...(no gun but just walked in and sort of took over....the law was there in about 15 minutes and found her with me pointing her out) that dang Jack didn't do a blame thing...not even bark. Godalmighty.

 

We made a donair pizza tonight with seitan instead of donair meat. It turned out really well. Very Nova Scotian of me.

 

The There And Back Again Adventure packages have their races listed up until May 2020 so I just need to keep checking for the later dates. I've done my itinerary though. Like a quick one. Sth Carolina to Tennessee to Virginia. Was thinking of stopping half way between Carolina and Tennessee. There's Charlottesville but isn't that massively racist? I Dun wanna be there if that's the case. My wife joked we could go back to Roanoke. Try and get with those twins again. I don't wanna go back there.

It'll just be us this time, I ain't taking any friends this time around lol.
