Stoned driving

All the angry people in the drunk driving thread got me curious.. What do the same people (and everyone else..) think about driving high?

 

Driving high is fine by me as long as the person is a experienced smoker.

 

just like with alcohol, it depends on how much you've had.

i think driving really drunk is safer than driving really stoned, because when drunk you'll have 100% of your attention on the road, while being equally stoned you're likely to forget you're even driving. on the other hand, you're only "really stoned" for a few minutes usually before you get back under control, whereas you're likely to be "really drunk" for the entire drive.

 

While moderately stoned, I tend to drive more cautiously and more concentrated, which basically results in safer driving. I'm not saying it's that way for everyone, but it works for me. Plus, it's just really fun to ride down a dirtroad on a warm(not HOT) spring/summer day while smoking a blunt with a few friends with music blaring:sifone:

 

i like driveing some what straight, getting pulled over and fucking with the cops.. hahaha .. Wheres the gun?, idk.. where is the crack. I swallowed it... mwuhahaah ..

 

I drive high, But I won't get into a car with a high driver.

lol just as wrong and has the same ramifications as drunk driving. This made me laugh really as we had a new client come in the other day. He was arrested for driving under the influence, my question "what did you blow" "uhm .02 but i think they are going to nail me for the heroin and meth I was on, hey? do you think your boss can get the DUI dismissed, I dont want to fuck up my truck driving training?
!" Me- seriously? followed by hysterical laughter. Yup, thats the kinda person I want driving a big rig next to me on the freeway.

 

Nice on highways or calm roads, generally dangerous in busy cities and traffic. I fully understand it's forbidden on the public road.

I think most smokers know that smoking n driving go hand and hand. I don't advise it to new smokers, but like Topnotch stated, a dirt road with the boys in the summer, music and blunts blazing, yup.........

I agree as long as you're talking about weed. Smokers drive quite differently from drunks, generally slower and more careful and more aware. I've been driving high for 40 years, never had the slightest problem. But I don't drive drunk.

I´m fine driving when I´m reasonably high, but once I´m at the point where I´m reeeaaallly high I dont drive

 

It's very dangerous.

Legally dangerous, that is. Traffic stops are the source for most drug related arrests. Make damn sure you don't have anything you can't swallow or throw, including no plastic bags. If you get pulled over, try to turn off the road, whichever way you turn, throw anything you need to out the window on the opposite side of the car, so it blocks it from the cops view.

It's "fine"? Where's the "it's one of the most fun things you can do with a car, and if you can handle your smoke, improves your driving abilities" option?

If you don't know your limits and don't smoke much, it's a very bad idea.

Never have a deadline, you HAVE to drive at Y o'clock after smoking at X o'clock. Pushing yourself will end badly. But if you only do it when you're relaxed and whatnot, it's just fine.

Remember, drive with contraband in your lap if you're in an area that you'd be able to throw it. Don't go hiding it under door panels, when he's going to get out a dog on your ass or something, unless you're driving through an area where there would be little hope of tossing it.

 

yeah i wasnt really serious before... you should only drive stoned if you are an experienced driver AND experienced stoner, you should be able to judge if you know how to drive and knothe effects of weed, especially if u have a tolerance and being high is everyday life its really no big deal honestly, I used to live up in the snow and get high as fuck every day driving on the ice roads 40 min drive to the snow resorts. I had soo much hash lol.

 

I used to drive after smoking--really hauling ass at about 3 miles an hour, constantly reminding myself to slow the fuck down. The times I drove on L were really interesting with the road sometimes looking like a mirror --other times like driving on the back of a huge snake that was writhing around and the trees lunging at me to try and rip me out of the car and various little creatures jumping over the car. And more ,of course. I remember not being afraid at all. Probably should have been.

 

I only drove on L one time, but I was also on 4mg and xanax AND smoking a blunt while driving. haha Dangerous, but hella fun.

The stupidest thing I've ever done was drive on 21 benadryls though. That shit was retarded.
