Stimulants are bad

Okay. I din't want to put this in the drug forum cause I dind't want to offend any stimulant users on their. Anyway, I don't like tweekers. I can't stand illegal stimulants at all. Yesteray, some meth-head women who lives ner me came up in some sort of psychotic rage, and started yelling at me. She physically attacked my g/f, and actually pulled a knife on my girl. I had to preted to threaten to call the police on her to make her stop the violence. All of this seems like normal urban life, other than the fact that neither me or my girl did any wrong to this women. I don't think I'd ever seen her in my life. I'm good at anticipating responses from people on the Random Thoughts Forum. So I guess someone will ask me why I think the women was on speed? Her pupils were dialted alot, and at her eyelids, there was a red stain, looked like she slashed her own eyes, or spilled some hot sauce over them. She was really angry, and I never seen her in my life. She was talking 100 words per second, I could barley understand it. Her speech wasn't slurred. So it wasn't PCP. And I've never seen anyone on coke that was that angry. I guess it's a good guess. Anyhew, I think illegal stimulants are bad for the brain, and make people aggressive, violent and hateful. Why would anyone want to hurt anyone else? Shit I just eat my cid and drink beer, and I get along with most everyone I know. And mabye cocaine isn't so bad, but meth is the freakin DEVIL. It makes heroin look appealing. Heroin is dangerous, (I guess), but it makes people just happy and puts them to sleep, and they don't hurt anyone. Not like that devil-speed. Shit, I'd rather be in the company of someone who'd OD'd on 2-Cs, rollin balls, drunk out of their mind, and on H and Vicodan at the same time (hypothetically if the person were to live through this), than some violent hateful insane bitch tweaking on meth. Sorry for rambling, but it pisses me off when people harm or try to harm people I love.

Adderal has helped me pull through some tough times. Had to write a 22 page paper in a weekend.

sorry folks, never been a fan of illegal drugs, and the effects they have on the vast majority of people

 

drugs are basically stupid.... whether they are legal or illegal. just cause something is legal doesnt happen to make it any better.

 

I love speed(adderall, never bought speed off the street, just prescription amphetamines from friends). I get into music so much, and can play guitar better spinning around and dancing with my eyes closed and my head bobbing up and down than I can trying as hard as I can. A nine-hour, speed-induced blues jam, that's the ultimate high.

Its great for writing, too. I love writing, and I get such a creative burst while I'm on adds. Helps with schoolwork a lot too.

Meth, coke, and all that shit is really bad. I'm sure its fun and the highs are great, but the things that they do to people, its not worth it in any aspect.

Have you done adderall? It doesn't distort your perception of anything, really, besides time a little bit. It increases your ability to concentrate, and gives you a burst of mental and physical energy. You ever listened to Stevie Ray Vaughan? The man did a lot of cocaine, a stimulant, similar to adderall but much more powerful, yet he was still brilliant and undeniably extremely good at guitar and blues in general.

I've read the poetry sober, read it to sober people, its not bad. I suppose my teachers are on drugs, giving me A's for my adderall-induced work.

I wasn't saying the music was good, though in my opinion, it is(we recorded it, so I can tell you that I've listened to it without drugs clouding up my senses). I was stating that jamming for 9 hours on adderall was an amazing and enlightening feeling that gave me an extremely pleasant rush.

But, its nearly impossible to change someone's views on drugs, whether for them or against them.

 

....unless it does some bad shit that affects you or the people around you. My mate smoked weed for 4 years and totally changed.. his parents used to be ok with weed, now they'll never let anyone tell them that "it's ok, it doesn't harm anyone".. if you take enough/become addicted it harms everyone around you.

 

All drugs are bad, including caffeine, if they consume your life and it's all you think about.

My mom died of a meth overdose almost six years ago. You could see the changes over time in her mood and her health while she was using it.

If you care about yourself, or anyone around you, you won't do any synthetic drugs...

all of these bands wrote,sang,and played drug induced music.....
i personally dont agree with meth(i tried it ....wasnt a great high......and its destroyed some of my friends)but u cant say all drug induced poetry and music is garbage.Like Jimmy was tricked into thinking his music was good......and i guess the millions of people who own is albulms today must be drugged out too.....

 

one has to wonder how much better they coulda done without their addictions. i happen to believe that everything, including natural drugs are here for a reason. but that reason, to strip one of inhibitions and release creativity, is also attainable WITHOUT chemicals. most people are just far to weak and flawed to be able t handle it properly.

Well, when I'm diagnosed with permanent brain damage or impotence I'll look back and regret that one time that I did adderall. My ADHD friend is most likely fucked, as well. I wonder if the doctors know that they prescribed him with poison...

I would say I've got some kind of talent, I've only been playing guitar seriously for about 8 months, and I'm doing pretty good. You can't just say that he would have probably been a lot better without the drugs, there's no basis in that. But, in no way shape or form am I trying to say that he couldn't have been good without the drugs, he was still amazing once he cleaned himself up. I can still play about as good sober, maybe a little slower and a little less clean, but the main reason it was so great is because I got extremely into the music and played nonstop for hours on end without running out of energy or desiring to do anything else. I was simply trying to state that all music created on drugs doesn't suck, and that it was an ignorant generalization to make.

I don't, not even in the honors program, but when the teacher tells me that I wrote the best paper in the class(despite my apparent laziness and lack of motivation which they need to remind me of whenever I succeed)

Maybe not the enlightenment that monks achieve through spiritual experience, but it was an enlightening sort of feeling, not exactly total enlightenment. My choice of words was a little off, I apologize.

I wasn't really trying to justify the use of drugs, I was just trying to point out that saying that all music/poetry made on drugs sucks. Maybe that's your opinion, but I'm sure you like some form of music that was written under the influence, or inspired during some kind of high. I don't know exactly how this turned into a debate on drugs.

All drugs can be very harmful, if used irresponsibly, and with many drugs its almost impossible to use them responsibly(meth, coke). But, adderall hasn't really affected my life in any way, other than providing some fun and resulting in some good music one day. The come-down is harsh, though.

 

You know that can really be dangerous to have no perception of reality and "real time". Have you ever blacked out? Or would you not remember?

Wouldn't you rather NOT take that chance? I'm sorry but if someone said I'd have "x" percentage chance of permanent brain damage if I took something...I sure as hell would second guess that.

Taste of music is completely subjective.

What about if you're driving one day and you've taken some? What about the blurred vision...or the lack of perception of "real time"? What about the high blood pressure it's been proven to cause? What happens if you have a seizure and get brain damage? Addrell is also addictive and causes withdrawls. Don't try to justify you being a pill popper. Find a different hobby. One that is less destructive.
