Stimulant Comparisons [I vote speed <3]

Okay, so through my past bottle of Adderall that I've been using since the end of school till now, I've learned that I absolutely love speed. =D. Adderall's slower releasing amphetamine salts create 0 crash, which makes it very appealing. I just don't like the lack of being able to sleep for like 2 days after the initial dose.

I created this thread so I could compare the effects I get from stimulants, from caffeine to amphetamine.

A little about me:
- Male
- 155 lbs
- "athletic" body build
- 18 years old, 5'10" (average)
- average tolerance to all drugs I've tried (psychedelics, stimulants, depressants)
- Alcohol tolerance is average, sometimes above average

ALL SCHEDULES ARE UNITED STATES (where I live =P)

This will not include psychedelic stimulants (Ecstacy, Methylone, ect.)

The closer they are to the bottom of the list, the less useful they are as a recreational drug on their own.

The Stimulants

Dextroamphetamine salts - Amphetamine - Adderall | Schedule II
Definitely highly abusable in my opinion. Very fun, very long-lasting, and absolutely no crash other than a feeling of tiredness. Dose will vary but a good euphoric dose for someone who has never tried amphetamine would probably be 20-40mg's. More than 40mg's doesn't seem to add to my experience. Not to length or feeling.

Snorting them is easy, but my 10mg's are BLUE. A pain in the ass. I'd say they could be good for a club or something of the like, but I did go to a club on 50mg's after not having touched them in at least a week and didn't feel the need to dance. I just felt really good.

One of the best things about Adderall is the fact that when I'm on it, I feel no need to get up and run around. I can simply sit there and shake my foot and be completely happy. Not the case for Ritalin.

I've also noticed a case of sexual dysfunction on Adderall. Not too much, and honestly the type and length of the dysfunction make sex much more fun *wink* ALSO worth mentioning is the CEV's on Aderall. Extremely rare, but when they're there, they are 3D and very interesting to watch.

Methylphenidate - Ritalin | Schedule II

So Ritalin is also a fun stimulant, but is not for the faint of heart in abuse. It is extremely edgy compared to Adderall. I feel I have to talk or have to move when I'm on Ritalin. There is no 'happy spot'. The high is edgy and insane like you're on cocaine or methamphetamine. I commonly would compare it to cocaine. It's just ridiculous. Very euphoric, but not quite as much as Adderall. Like driving over an extremely bumpy road at 200 miles an hour and having the car tumble crazily all over.

The come-downs from a Ritalin high are by far the worst I've experienced in any stimulant. I would feel as if I could not moved because my motivation was absolute zero. I literally was so depressed after coming off of these that I would not move. Sleep comes far easier than Adderall, if you can find the motivation to do it....

The crash also had a second part for me. Along with the dysphoria, I would go through a full-blown hallucinogenic state that I would say was identical to amphetamine psychosis. Seeing things, hearing things and even feeling things would happen on every crash. It made me extremely uneasy on top of my depression from the drug. Paranoia was also common. Ever dosed high on deleriants? It was almost exactly like that.

Cocaine | Schedule II

Coke, for me, was probably not as fun as it should have been. In fact my favorite part of the experiences was the numbing action on my throat and nose. The euphoria from cocaine was also very edgy. Like I could've just smacked the shit out of someone and asked them if they wanted more. Cocaine reminded me a lot of Ritalin in it's edginess and utter lack of being able to sit still.

Snorting the drug was very pleasant for me. No pain whatsoever. Probably because there were no fillers in it. Unfortunately, the high was a short lasting one. Lasted for maybe 40 minutes, then just kind of disappeared. Sadness followed, and a lot of not wanting to do a thing, although no where near on level of Ritalin. All in all not worth it's weight in coin. Sure it's great because it's short-lasting and I can actually sleep after using it, but it's incredibly expensive for it's effects. I guess all street stimulants are though.

Propylhexedrine - Benzedrex | Unregulated, Unscheduled

From the moment I got the inhaler open, I knew I was in for something. The cotton rod is bigger then one would expect it to be. My boyfriend was the first to do it. At that time I was drinking and he'd of been as well but said he didn't feel like it, so I reminded him of the Benzedrex inhalers. I opened one up and pried the top off with my fingers, exposing the cotton rod, all alone.. Strange looking device. He cut the cotton rod up into four pieces (err, rather I did), and we went back to the couch where he prepared himself for the task of swallowing cotton.

He first attempted to swallow a single piece, and began to gag, despite drinking more to get it down. He ran to the bathroom and threw it up immediately. Obviously that wasn't going to work. So we walked across the street to CVS and looked into a few supplement bottles and found ones that were encased in gelcaps. He bought those and we headed back to the room. He stuck the remaining three pieces into the gelcaps flawlessly and swallowed all three. By now I was pretty drunk so we headed to the boardwalk.

About an our or two later we were sitting back in a bedroom in the condo watching a movie and I decided to do it. I popped open mine in the same fashion and stuffed the cotton rod, cut up, into 4 gelcaps. I swallowed all four without a problem and waited. I had stopped drinking at this point and was drunk but not stupid drunk. A little while later, perhaps 20-30 minutes, it kicked in and intensified quickly until it came to a peak which lasted for hours on end.

The high was quite noticeably stronger than Adderall. Probably at least a good two times stronger. This must be closer to what Meth feels like. The euphoric aspect was all-encompassing and felt like absolute happiness. It was certainly more jittery than Adderall though. I remember holding him and just being the happiest person in the world that we were together. He told me that he didn't quite feel as good. Of course, sleep was an impossibility at this point, but unlike with Adderall, the aspect of sex seemed completely pointless and I was uninterested.

I was feeling absolutely amazing as the night went on. Dry-mouth and all. Of course I was paranoid and nervous as I usually am on powerful stimulants, but this didn't take away from the forced-happiness mood I was in. I was extremely happy with it, so far...

After tossing and turning all night and staring at the walls for six hours because I was too paranoid to leave the room (my mom was in the room next, she scares me on drugs, lol), I finally got up when I heard other people shuffling around. This was the day we were packing up and going back home. As soon as I sat up a massive wave of nausea hit me. A stranger sort of nausea. Like my body was too weak to throw up or to even try it very often.

As I walked around feeling like shit, I would occasionally go to the bathroom and dry heave. Either once, or more then once because the taste of the dry-heaves (the lavender and menthol) was otherworldly. It was very bad, but also very weird. Sometimes I would go into little dry heaving spasms which really hurt my torso. I was afraid top drink or eat anything. After having gown to the bathroom 2-3 times with no success I finally threw up right next to my car. Projectile. The taste of the vomit was ghastly and I dry-heaved after it. This made me feel better for about 15 minutes, then the nausea came right back, same as before.

Shortly after, we drove back home and as long as I was sitting down I felt okay. Not completely okay, but not nauseous. We stopped at a rest stop and there were several points where I almost lost it, but I got some water and got back on the road. On the road and once I got home and all the rest of that day, I would get tingly sensations all over my body and at some points it was very hard to move certain body parts. Namely the hands would lock up literally. It felt like there was mass amounts of pressure on my blood vessels and this feeling moved all over my body, but was very unpleasant at the wrists. Mentally I was feeling pretty sad as I usually do on come-downs. This one was way too physical for me.

The nauseous feelings in my stomach lasted about two days after that initial day. and I officially decided the high was not worth the side-effects. When they say it's a vascoconstrictor, they aren't kidding. I can't imagine how bad the pressure would've been if I had taken more. More than likely I won't be messing with Propylhexedrine again. If you think you can handle it, the high is quite happy.

Ephedrine - Primatine | Regulated, Unscheduled

So I managed to get a preperation that actully had Ephedrine HCL in it, but it also happened to be the LAMEST one ever. 12.5mg of Ephedrine, 200mg Guaifenisen. So yeah, I couldn't exactly take a lot. I don't know how much Guai I could take before throwing up everywhere, but the most I ever took at one point was 3 pills (37.5mg Ephedrine / 600mg Guaifenisen). I'm sure I could manage 4 and be fine, maybe even 5. But things did start to get very weird after the second dose.

I went on Wikipedia and found out that the half-life of Guai is 1 hour, which is great. That means it was almost completely gone in a matter of hours. Ephedrine's half-life is 3-6 hours. That wasn't really important though.

So me and my boyfriend get in the car and begin heading down to the shore (2 hours away, later I'll have to drive another 2 hours further to get another friend, making 6 hours after I drive back.) I tell him to get out two Vivarin (200mg Caffeine each) and three Primatine tablets. I take the two Caffeine pills and wait about 20 minutes, then I take the 37.5mg Ephedrine. I've read that caffeine potentiates adrenaline mimicing drugs (I totally forgot the nice, short, scientific name for that).

20 Minutes later I notice the first effects. I'm feeling happy from the caffeine and slightly up from it was well. The Ephedrine has started to show it's head with the unmistakeable amphetamine-like euphoria. It's pretty weak compared to Adderall, but it was obviously there. Not long at all from that point, it was at it's peak. It felt pretty good, and I found it to be addicting unlike any other drug I've ever tried in my life. The reason for it was the crash. I took 6 in total, and no more. The Guaifenisen was a huge turn-off.

Ephedrine's high was somewhat suprising given it's nature as an amphetamine analog. It was pretty on-edge and not as smooth as amphetamine, but it was much more then I expected. Like amphetamine in feeling, but like coke in jitteryness, but very unlike the two in strength. It did feel very much like a watered down version of amphetamine. My concentration certainly didn't feel heightened and it didn't help my eyes stay open, but later that night I did have a lot of trouble getting to sleep. I had to wait a few hours from when I first wanted to go to sleep until I actually could.

After my second dose, some 5 hours later, things began to get trippy and my headspace began to feel very spaced-out. It was getting the dark, and the combination of staring at the road for hours and cars lights going on had things trailing slightly and my vision over-stimulated as if there was a film over my eyes. It's very hard to explain but I'm sure this has nothing to do with the Ephedrine and something to do with my body.

It would be a fun drug to be whacked out on all day, but the fact that every Ephedrine preperation has Guaifenisen in it has turned me away. I probably won't be trying it again. I'll be saving the rest of what I have and getting more and insaely high prices so I can oxidize that shit =P

Anyone know how to extract Guafenisen from Ephedrine, or vice versa?

Caffeine - Vivarin, Soda, Coffee | Unregulated, Unscheduled

Caffeine is pretty lame as a recreational stimulant. it does not act on dopamine or seratonin receptors and therefore cannot produce euphoria. I've done quite a few experiments with it. I find it works better when present in high levels in soda (namely Vault). Probably because all of the sugar included. I've taken different numbers of caffeine pills with odd results.

One pill (200mg's) produces an noticeable elevation in mood but not so much the protection from tiredness and fatigue that they'd like you think. Scattered my brain as opposed to focusing it. Work became a little awkward. I felt slightly uncoordinated. It is said to boost the effects of drugs that mimic epinephrine (adrenaline) but I haven't gotten the chance to try this out. Drugs like Proplyhexedrine, Ephedrine, Amphetamine, and Cocaine.

Two pills (400mg's) didn't seem to do anything at all. I felt quite happy (not euphoric, just happy as if excited to do something or go somewhere). They didn't effect my coordination or anything else for that matter. I smoked a cigarette before work and felt extremely overstimulated, even to the point of having the wind knocked out of me. I was shaking when I walked into work and my heart was racing. Subsided in all of 10 minutes. I hadn't smoked for maybe 14 hours. I think that was the caffeine reacting. Cigarettes are never like that for me. The happiness permeated throughout my work shift (4 hours) and I no longer noticed it after. Not at all helpful for studying or working. I was also very capable of sleeping at this point. I felt stimulated but very exhausted at the same time (I was just tired that day, wasn't the caffeine).

Snorting caffeine doesn't do much either, and burns much more then it's worth. The happiness is more intense with snorting but it's still not euphoria. Do not bother snorting it. I have felt quite good from caffeine before though, and it's with this thought that I plan on discontinuing all caffeine ingestion for a week. This is so my Adenosene receptors can return to normal and I can try caffeine experiments without tolerance annoyance. However that may be irrelevant because 90% of the population consumes it every single day and we all have permanent tolerance to an extent.

One thing I've noticed is that when off of a big dose of caffeine, I get angry much easier. No other stimulant so far has created that effect. It's not a problem though, and easy to control yourself.

Things I feel I need to mention

Redline RTD - Psychotic Energy Drink/Fat INCINERATOR tm

I don't know WHAT the hell is in this stuff, but it's insane. Directions say to only use a half an 8oz bottle at time. It has a lot of caffeine, which probably potentates whatever else is in there, but this is a hell of a lot stronger then just caffeine.

It's some crazy energy blend that literally had my temperature through the roof and me shaking like a leaf. It was quite literally uncontrollable. My heart was racing as well. It just seems so over the top for an energy drink. The label warns against heart attacks from using 2 bottles at once. It also tastes like ass.

For the time I had it, before I had used any stimulants other then caffeine, it was quite the experience. Don't even consider drinking this while using any other stimulants. You will die. In a horribly painful matter. Cardiac arrest ftw. =D

It literally made my hands numb because it cut off a lot of the circulation, and my entire body was tingly for at least 4 hours, maybe more. My extremities were all suffering some loss of feeling. I loved it at the time but looking back on it, it was so crazy. If I was on Adderall, I would seriously be afraid I would die if I drank this. In reality you probably wouldn't, but I'm not taking any chances. But hey, if you feel too down or lethargic this will put you through the goddamn roof. No happiness at all that I remember, just ridiculous-on-the-edge-of-heart-failure stimulation.

Epinephrine - Epinephrine Inhaler

I did try an epinephrine inhaler once. Bad idea. I did get quite stimulated, no euphoria, and I threw up everywhere with a stomach that hurt more than being cut open. HCL is not fun, lol

at least round here, "base" refers to "freebase" or more specifically, freebase cocaine, aka crack.

anyway, i generally dislike stimulants, but once in a while can enjoy them. i find adderall, and other amphetamines, to be generally unpleasant though, and usually (but not always) cocaine as well.

methylphenidate is ok once in a while. actually, i'm going to have some today for the first time in ages.

caffeine is ok once in a while when i'm really dragging, and i fucking love coffee, but i dislike the side effects.

by far my all time favorite stimulant though is cocaethylene. to acquire this simply macerate coca teabags in vodka overnight at the concentration of your choice, then either do shots (nasty!) or mix it in some coca cola (delicious! better than regular coke, in my book)

cocaethylene is not present in the liquid, just extracted coca alkaloids and alcohol. it becomes cocaethylene in the body, though. its just like the effects of vin mariani, the long gone but wilkdly popular coca wine people used to drink all the time.

plain coca tea or chewed coca leaves are also good, but not as pleasurable as when mixed with alcohol.

pleasant but mild stimulation (well, depending on how much you take...one teabag is less stimulating than a cup of coffee but infinitely more pleasant), definite energy boost and mood lift, increased chattiness and willingness to talk, it eases any stomach issues you may have usually, is great to cure a hangover, and is generally nice as an all around rejuvenating tonic. it is totally nonaddictive in MY experience, but if you're particularly fond of stimulants, be careful. this is related to cocaine, so i suppose it DOES have some addictive potential.

the thing i'd be most worried about is drinking. if i did two or three shots of my coca tincture i made mixed with some cola, then i could pretty much drink as much alcohol as i wanted and maintain more mental clarity than i'd normally be able to, and it also prevents passing out. this means i can drink more, which can be dangerous if not simply bad for your health.

but have a buddy over, mix up some coca booze drinks, grab a couple beers and a joint and you'll be having some damn enjoyable conversation in no time.

probably the only stimulant i REALLY like.

maybe i'll get some more coca....its been a few months since i ran out...

 

base over here is an unusually strong, minimally cut form of amphetamine. street speed is usually cut to fuck.

I've never heard of street amphetamine. You sure that's not meth? Regardless I'll never be able to acquire such a thing. I may try Methcathinone if I can get some Ephedrine. There is absolutely no Ephedrine sold OTC here in NJ. Just psudoephedrine, which is not easy to just get either. Damn Methamphetamine act.

Cocalethylene or however that's spelled, has some high cardiovascular toxicity. Be careful with that stuff. That won't make it to my list because it isn't just a stimulant.

cocaethylene is also produced when cocaine users (i.e. people who insufflate, smoke, or inject cocaine or cocaine freebase) drink while using the drug. this is the dangerous way of doing it.

if you're using 1-2 bags of coca tea on their own, sans alcohol, its less stimulating than a cup of coffee, just more pleasant. if you have the equivalent of 3-4 bags of coca tea extracted into alcohol, the stimulation is along the level of that you would get from maybe 2 cups of coffee, only FAR more pleasant - no jittery side effects, nothing like that. this really isnt very dangerous at all. what kills people in terms of cocaethylene is the jokers who do multiple lines a night while drinking.

Expect some reports on Ephedrine and caffeine, as I've recently used the combo to stay awake on a long drive and then again when I got there. I'm on vacation though so it might be a little slow.

I'll look into 4-MTA, but it seems unlikely I'd be able to acquire it.

and yes ive tried coke and ritalin for me is like coke that lasts longer but has a really retarded comedown that is unlike anything else ive tried, most similar to an ecstacy comedown but still very different.

Well, all around the obvious choice is meth, the king of all stimulants. I don't think i need to elaborate. Following the king, the crowned prince is adderall, a nice mixture of amphetamines best taken in a combination of IR and XR pills.

I don't believe either needs explaining.
