Steve Winwood

I just found out about Stevie around Christmas after hearing Dear Mr. Fantasy on the 2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival. Before then he was "that other guy (not Clapton) in Blindfaith. Now I've seen then both at MSG, the Blindfaith Reunion 2 months ago. I'm in love with Stevie (that's 24 yr old Stevie, like in the Santa Monica Traffic youtube videos)!

I love love love Stevie! Love Traffic...you should also check him out playing organ with jimi hendrix on Voodoo Chile on the Electric Ladyland album...

i saw him a couple weeks ago opening up for tom petty. he was amazing

i saw him at the blind faith reunion @ msg, and i cried thru half of the songs i was so happy! (it was also my first concert, soon to be followed by SANTANA). the encore was dear mr. fantasy, which i've been OBSESSED with since christmas. i totally broke down when he played "Georgia on my Mind", i guess because the piece is not only a soulful piece, but i'd been watching a video of him performing it while he was like 17 yrs old!

 

What was that song he did when he was young with ,I think,the Spencer Davis group?I love that song,just never knew the title 'cuz I'm not so much into lyrics--just the way the music lays out.
