Why do people make such a big deal about steve jobs, I mean yeah I know he co-founded apple, but that was a long time ago, and wozniak did all of the work basically, and they give him credit for stuff like the iphone and all that, most of the stuff his company made with him in charge, he had no part in the actual design of it, just gave it the greenlight and took all the credit

Steve Jobs is famous because he was a Muslim.

This is what I would like to know. He is just another "hero" given to us by the system and nothing more. The way I look at it, Steve Jobs was just another establishment shill. People act like he's wonderful because that is what they're told to do. Most of the computer technology that exists comes from the government -- not individual posters boys like Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Gates and Jobs are merely frontmen for computer technology, much like Obama is the front man for the presidency.

Awe I don't know about that, Pressed Rat. Them boys got to be very rich, because they sold their inventions to the military. They got to be billionaires by selling to the government. By the way, that's how Ross Perrot got rich. And that's how Eric Prince of Blackwater got richer. What made Steve Jobs well-liked is that he was nice. The others were just brutal jerks who stepped on little people on their way to the top. Not Steve Jobs, he always remembered the days when he had to get his only meal for the day at a homeless shelter.

You're forgetting the obvious and real reason, Jobs was simply more attractive and personable than Wozniack and as such was the better front man for the company, much the same as Bill Gates became the name associated with Microsoft, but let's not forget that without Paul Allen, Microsoft would most likely not exist.
Woz was the "brains" while Jobs was the "mouth".

Gates and Jobs both were excellent pitch-men, but I do give the edge to Gates simply based on programming knowledge and he continued programming and had more to do with the product than Jobs ever did. He first wrote DOS as a quick project for IBM and when they decided they didn't want to use it, Gates basically asked if he could have it and that's how Microsoft began.

Jobs and Wozniack really got their first computer off the ground by "borrowing" ideas from xerox, namely the mouse and GUI.
Gates later "borrowed" both technologies from Apple with Windows.

    getting off on a tangent.........................

Without a doubt that there are scum bags in Islam just like everywhere else in the world. But in this case Steve Jobs was never raised with any connection to his biological father's faith.

also sorry for making douple posts
    hear this

As the new CEO of the company, Jobs oversaw the development of the iMac, iTunes, iPod, iPhone, and iPad, and on the services side, the company's Apple Retail Stores, iTunes Store and the App Store. The success of these products and services provided several years of stable financial returns,

sad thing is all those products are WAY overpriced and actually suck quite a bit when compared to other devices in the market, they are just "trendy" and morons follow trends and that's what Jobs' focused on.
The actual techs aren't all that revolutionary or great and software developers fucking hate writing stuff for Apple.

Hell, a Mac isn't anything more than an overpriced, shiny Intel based PC anymore.

but I'm rambling on again like the old fart I am.....:wheelchair:

He was a creative genius. He changed the way we look at phones. And many other things.
He didn't do all this alone, but he was a unique spirit I think :)

If you listen to his speeches etc I think you will like him more.

“Taking LSD was a profound experience, one of the most important things in my life. LSD shows you that there’s another side to the coin, and you can’t remember it when it wears off, but you know it. It reinforced my sense of what was important—creating great things instead of making money, putting things back into the stream of history and of human consciousness as much as I could.”~ Steve Jobs

Except he was all about making money. Why are apple chargers 50 dollars when every other phone uses the 5 pin which is cheap and universal? Thats just for starters. An lsd Buddhist wouldnt have such horrible working conditions in china.
