The mad crocodile man from aussie land.. he got stung by a stingray http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/5311298.stm
It had to happen eventually! The kind of crazy things he did, I was just waiting for the day. He really lived on the edge. But man, I thought it'd be a giant saltwater crocodile, or a deadly snake that would take him out. But a stringray? Wow, I never saw that coming. Shame though, in all seriousness, really bad for his family....
Yeah dude... I think Steve would have been happier dying by the tail of a stingray than dying by being run over by a bus or whatever. Tis a shame though... he was a real passionate dude.
its like timothy treadwell a bit, I feel he didnt understand nature that its set up to kill you . he would go on about how dangerous crocs were but I dont think he understood what its all about in his heart great tv personality but took lots of risks seemed a nice guy sorry hes dead
I consider it poor taste to pick up animals and swing them around by their tails exclaiming wildly with an enthusiasm born of overblown ego and disrespect for nature. Score one for Gaia. Even so. Condolences to the family he left behind. And yes, he brought a lot of happiness to some. I can tell he was at least an ernest person if a little misguided. No one deserves to go out like that. RIP.
heh, the jokes started reeping out about an hour after it had been on the news!! This is better than the ones I've heard...
He was offered a state funeral in Australia, but his father refused, saying he was just an ordinary man! Only in Australia could someone like Irwin be an ordinary man....
i never met him... but we're going to dedicate our song "it only takes one nutter" to him tomorrow night... RIP Steve
Since he had cheated death SO many times in the last 30 years I just assumed he was going to live forever... This is really sad RIP
Well his style was certainly controversial, but I think on balance he probably did a lot more good than harm for conservation.
Hearing About his Death...Gave me an Eerie Feeling... Kinda Like the morning I Switched on the News and Discovered Princess Diana Had Died...
Callously, I remember jumping for joy when I heard she died. That was probably a little harsh, but I didn't know that much about her except she was a royal and, I thought at the time, the only good royal was a dead royal. Now I just think they're irrelevant....
