Known as 'The Naked Rambler' Stephen Gough & his girlfriend Melanie Roberts have completed the seven month Nude trek from Land's End to John O'Groats.
Mr.Stephen Gough is currently being detained at Her Majesty's pleasure in H.M.Prison Porterfield in Inverness,Scotland.He was arrested after his successful completion of his cross-Britain hike.
He has been arrested & gaoled because his nudity broke the bye-laws that consider it a Public Order offence.We live in very silly times ,indeed.
I think our two intrepid nudists will become folk heroes around the world.I commend them for their bravery.Especially Stephen Gough who has braved the insults of clothed-citizens from supermarkets to pubs.I think that Mr.Gough & Ms.Roberts have made a significant impact on the general public in Britain.They are trying to changes staid,centuries-old attitudes towards public nudity.

I saw the television programme at the time. I think that you will only gain a greater acceptance of nudism in smaller steps. I found other nudists who were equally unsupportive.

I'd be happy to have a few more beaches and not have to go miles for a sauna or swim.

If you look under "Location/Daily Update" you'll see that there was a letter from Steve just last week, after a long period of nothing posted. The previous entry was over 3 years ago! But he may have been in prison for that entire time, and he's in there now.
