just wondering what you guys do with your stems...i think i was taught to throw it away but i'm pretty sure u can still bake with them. i just smoked a half bowl full of stems, and scraped weed from bags and a chunk of resin....(i was desperate). i didnt get that high.
Stems along with male plants and fan leaves can be turned into some form with high THC content, I learned of this on OG but obviously it's gone now and I don't remember the details. I think it went something like boiling crushed stems/leaves/plants in a big pot for awhile to extract the THC... It sounds a lot alike but it isn't weed tea either, I want to say hash oil but I'm not sure.
Some uses for stems are: Extract cannabinoids to make hash or hash oil. Extract cannabinoids in an oily substance (IE butter) to use when cooking. Hemp fibre. To chew on (if you like the flavor) Thats all I can think of right now.
Supposedly stem tea helps with cramps! ... and I'm sure that's what all you guys wanted to hear! ~Nova
Stems make the best hash oil. Even better than buds in some cases. Because the thc are all in the surface, and the alcohol has a hard tiem extracting anything Inside the stem. Can make almost honey oil using a simple iso method.
I have a video that shows how to make hash, but the guy is using a huge fucking bowl of ground buds, not stems. I know you can cook with stems, though.
My friend has a box for stems. As you shake the box, the little bit of THC in each stem is collected, so you get these little crystals. Sprinkle them on a bowl and it tastes really good, and I think it does something for the buzz.
Or just smoke em... its effective, Ive done it a lot, and gets me high when my bag runs out and im out of weed to get me through those couple of days I cant find another bag. I collect them in a little cool box as a backup stash =)

To make hash oil.... I have heard of 3 ways, 1 with butane, 1 with acetone, and one with 100% iso. alcohol. Personaly i'd recomend the acetone, DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH! get acetone from a hardware store! nail polish is not pure acetone, and will not evaporate cleanly, it will leave chemicals behind that you do not want to consume. acetone from the hardware store evaporates 100% of the way. The method with Acetone/Iso is rather simple. First you soak whatever you have that has thc in it(bud, stems, a pipe) in the acetone. Second you seperate the acetone from the product in which you soaked(coffee filter, or take your pipe out of the acetone.) Then you evaporate the acetone, untill you have a brown/honey colored resin. Once it is completely dry, and the chemical completely evaporated, you have hash oil. and for the butane method I will point you in the direction of erowid. It is much more complicated, and time consuming, but is also a much cleaner extraction. If you are going to make honey oil from buds, use the butane method, but if you are using stems, use acetone. erowid.org/plants/cannabis/cannabis_info13.shtml
