Who else does it? Its the easiest place + best to steal from. I dont like stealing from things that matter, just wal-mart. You take something off a shelf..walk into an isle with no wal-mart worker and simply place it next to some pocket lint.

^^^ Stealing from Wal-Mart is Karmically good because it raises their prices which means that local stores aren't priced out of existence (as quickly at least).

I don't steal(unless I must), but if you DO steal from Wal-Mart and get caught, they don't bother pressing charges if the item is under $15. They just place a ban on you from the store.

Wal-Mart's business philosophy is high volume/low profit. this means that their loss whenever mechandise is stolen is relatively small. This means that it's really economically infeasable to really try and stop people from shop lifting, the cost of security per item would outweigh whatever risk you have of theft. This is why Wal-Mart is so easy to steal from. It's incredibly easier to pass on the cost to the consumer (through higher prices) than to deal with the hassels.

Wal-Mart doesn't have empoyee's they have slaves. They are one of the shittiest corporations when it comes to labor. The only way you can make a passing income working at walmart is to steal (and trust me, they do, the bulk of their 'security' is in monitoring employees).
They also run a hell of a lot of other stores that pay decent wages, resulting in more economic devestation...

really... what's not to love about stealing from wal-mart?

I'm in favor. If you're willing to face the consequences, go ahead and steal from the monolithic corporation. Nobody will feel it, except you. You'll get what you *need* and all you'll do is slow down some tycoons stranglehold on the world.

Though it causes an inconsiderable amount of harm, it still causes harm. What if every person stole from WalMart? 1 out of 5? 1 out of 10? That's when it starts becoming a problem.

Stealing is stealing, anyway you look at it.

actually i think walking out with that much shit is really sweet. i dont really mind stealing from large corporations. the world doesnt need them at all.

the problem is, the staff at these places are just like the stock. the company cant give a fuck about individuals, so if they take money away, its most probably gonna be from the workers and not fro mtheir own pockets. they always know there are going to be people to work for them.

this is why is it not 'good karma' to steal.

but if theyre so fucked that they dont check people walking out of teh store with 300+ items, then fuck them.
