You should def. get tested when you can and be "hygienic" would be the best word for it. I've heard the same about lesbians being less likely to catch STDs, but I'm sure it still happens. If you're going to be using sex toys, and their not yours, I'd probably use a condom on those just because you don't know where it's been. But then again I guess you could say that about anything.
