At work, everyday I have customers, co-workers and total strangers tell me how huge I am. They start out by asking my due date, and when I tell them (august 19th) they all act shocked, and say "wow, you're huge" or "are you sure there is just one?". I understand I am large, but I am a bigger-than-usual female normally. I am tall, and come from hearty scotch peasant stock, so OF COURSE I am going to be bigger than some 5'2, 100 pound woman right? I am asking your opinion... am I as huge as people say? Am I just being hormonal letting in bug me?
you look amazing don't concern yourself over what others say (I know that is easier said than done) as long as you feel good is what really matters
I wouldn't let it bug you.. every womans body is differant.. if you're really concerned ask your doctor, but you look fine to me.. congrats btw!
Don't worry Every woman's body is different. I was HUGE....I'm 5'2 and weighed about 145 before I got pregnant...my belly had no end. But I have a friend who's right near her due date and is about as big as I was at my 6th month and she was always a little bigger than me before. People always feel like it's their right to tell you everything and anything they want........... My best advice is to enjoy your belly right now. Your baby is only in there for 9 months....never will be again.
I sometime miss having my little boogy in there.. I still get those phantom kicks.. where it feels like you have something in there.. everytime it happends it makes me wish I would have enjoyed being pregnant alittle more..
thanks ladies.... i am enjoying being pregnant, as much as sore back, feet and tits is enjoyable! I don't think I am super huge, but no one else seems to agree with me... haha. thanks for the support!
Be Happy your actually with child, could ya imagine people you dont know asking when your due and your not?
*belly rubs* You've got a goodsized baby in ya. No big deal about that. Every woman is different, and so is every baby. And people that are saying anything are just very insensitive. Your belly is beautiful.
If I ever posted my pregnant belly pic......Everyone would run for shelter!! I carried twin girls all in the front and gained 70 Lbs... Plus my fundus(sp?) measured 52 cm.So I looked like I was a year Pregnant!! And i am not a big person to begin with!! Honey you are NOT big at all. You look normal!!! Everyone thought I photo shopped mine!!! Hahahaha You Have a beautiful Preggy Belly!!!
The funny thing is, everyone is all in my face about how big I am, but to date I've only gained 9 pounds! (i work on my feet, so I am burning extra fat even as the baby grows!)
I love your belly. It looks cute and healthy. For those people....when they make such comments, ask them what makes them think you're pregnant....that'll make them feel like an ass. Enjoy your baby in your belly while you can. Like someone said, it's only in there once.
I was a 5-2 100 lb (actually 98) when I got pregnant. on due day I weighed 151 and all of it was beyond the hip bones, he was OUT THERE.
It's pretty impolite for people to make such comments, but they probably mean no harm. I haven't been around too many pregnant women myself, my being the youngest in my family and none of my friends having had children yet, so I don't know what's normal and not.
People are jerks. A former boss who looked like he was 40 months pregnant said the same "Are you sure there's just one?" I wanted to slap him. I really think that people in our society have lost all concept of what a pregnant woman is supposed to look like. Thanks Hollywood, you're so awesome. I would have been six months pregnant by now if I hadn't miscarried and I would give anything to be all huge! And I would kick the ass of anyone who made snarky comments. So you just ask them what exactly they've done today, because you've been busy growing a whole new human being. I bet whatever they've done can't top that. If pregnancy weren't so "common" and done by women, it would totally be a superpower in a comic book!
People think they know, but they just don't! It's a pity you get the comments, whereas those that don't show.. AT ALL!... can opt whether to even tell friends and strangers (I doubt the latter) if they're pregnant or not.. Everybody (every BODY!!) is different, and it's not for total strangers to get concerned about. And you look great!
So what if they say that - at least you know your baby is going to be healthy and maybe bigger If there was a problem with the size they would have picked up while doing scans. Dont worry about it - lovely bumb x
Someone asked me how far along I was the other day...I'm so not pregnant! I just have a little pooch from the two I've already had.
