Started Today!

So today I decided to go ahead and go for it. I've been thinking about dreads for awhile.. absolutely love them on everyone else but wasn't so sure about how they'd do on me. But I gave into the urge and decided to give up my comb and go the natural route.

I know my hair is gonna be a royal mess for awhile. Especially at the length I am. Here is a pic of what my hair is like today, just so you can get a feel of what I'm dealing with. = D

I wonder why there is so much trouble with the picture! Hmm.. I washed it today with this anti-buildup shampoo I've had to remove residue. But for later I've got herbal cleanse, dry shampoo to try out. I also have some apple cider vinegar to use even later down the road. = )

ya got great hair and length for dreadin it should ddrewad rather fast (i wouldnt guewss weeks though but a few mionths ..2-3 id think should show great progress..i could be wrong and u may see some in weeks just guessing byu what the techture looks like but the pics blurry so maybe inacurate slightly

 

Yeah Sorry the pic is blurry! I've had this uber bad headache for days so I'm pretty shaky. I'll post some better pics in a few days.

 

so, tell us tell us, your plans. i guess you're going natural? why? what do you plan to do to maintain them? what do you hope for them to turn out like?

 

Im going natural because I just prefer that way. I've seen the way natural ones turn out in the end and I love them. I don't know enough about dreads that I can really identify a huge difference though lol.
And you know, I know it sounds kind of odd, but I don't have any big expectations on what I want them to look like, because I have no idea what my hair is gonna do.
As to my plans on maintaining them, Im still learning a lot. Can't ya tell? lol. Thank God I have you guys!
