The time for having plants outdoors in months away, but it you want to grow a plant that can yield 5--7 lbs. of bud, start now.
You need to start seeds indoors, in a growspace, under 16/8 light cycle.

Germinate and veg until they're 5 weeks old, then take clones from each plant.
Sex the clones, toss all males, clones and donors.
Continue to veg the girl plants indoors.
In the meantime, excavate a hole 8' across and 4' deep in your chosen outdoor location. Re-fill with Fox Farms potting soil or equiv.
Approx 4/20 place the plants outside in prepared spot, one per hole, after hardening them off first.
Keep watered and fed (I recommend organic nute's). The plant will end up approx. 10' tall and 8' wide and in mid Oct. you'll have 5--7 lbs. bud per plant of some of the best weed you've ever smoked.

Also, even at full price ($1,675), and added let's say $1,000 for nutrients, if you get 5 lbs. off said plant (and I know 3 people who are doing it), that's $535/lb, or $33/oz. a pretty good deal for The Kind Bud.

Would a mostly indica plant still yeild this high? I just popped new seeds and I'm planning on floating my buddy a few godbudXdreamweavers, but wasn't sure how much more it would yeild outside than inside seeing as they don't stretch much.

The people I know who are getting those huge amt's are growing both i-doms and s-doms.

The first time I saw plants grown that way I was blown away. I'm 6' tall and so is the grower and when we stood on opposite side of a plant we couldn't see each other.
And that was in late Aug. when they were just beginning to fill out.

I'm afraid a hurricane would destroy an outdoor grow, where I live.

Always wanted to try it, as there really doesn't seem to be the risk involved of indoor grows and you seem to get more of your time's worth out of it. Only problem is I only know so many people with clones to start well-rounded strains from and I'm kinda weary about using such good quality overseas seed, outdoors.

The January issue of High Times... my god that was a beautiful sight, if y'all saw the outdoor grow special.

I used to live on a hundred acre plus farm and my dad would grow. We had open fields that were used for free range livestock, soybeans, and daffodils... but there was enough room along the treeline for as many plants as you'd want. There was also a cleared area in the woods that was called the old garden... it was for an old civil war cemetary, but the cemetary portion had all been overgrown, so my dad used to grow between the overgrown areas.

I've been thinking about doing a guerilla grow there... we don't live there anymore, but a guy who lives on the border of there now used to be my main man, so I could always just drop by his house and ride an ATV to my spot of desired location, as he grows too, but he's strictly an indoor guy.

    Been considering it...

Equivilent is an organic potting soil with all sorts of goodies like bat/bird guano, worm castings, seaweed/kelp, mychorrizae, perline and lime. You can usually find a locally-made potting soil like that at a large garden center.

8' feet across (a circle). And yes, for 1 plant.
I didn't believe it at first myself and I've been growing weed outdoors for 40 years. But seeing is believing and last year I saw.

If you don't have a bushy 4' tall plant in late April, it's pointless to use a hole that big.
Seedlings planted then only need 4' x 3' deep (tho more couldn't hurt).
