Deep within the human psychic is an instinctive awareness of our innate interconnectedness with nature.

We breath, we drink and we nourish our bodies with the phenomenal bounty of this earth. When the cold winds of winter or the harsh days of summer threaten our wellbeing we seek earth’s shelter. Satisfying our daily necessities we then strive for peace and love within our community. But what came first…the chicken or the egg? Can we really have one without the other?

Peace and love go to the very heart of our being. The clouds of derision and division are reflections of a mind’s I blinded and lost in the wilderness of a conceptual sleight of hand. The Truth is human nature is Mother Nature.

Mother Nature is an amazing expression of universal harmonies and resonance. The rhythms of our heart beat, our breath, day and night, winter and summer, tides, orbits, atoms. Each is an echo of the other.

So, where is the “hippie” spirit?

Well, one could argue that it is alive and well and that it is where it has always been…right here right now!

    Then why the blindness?

“Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.” Steven Weinberg

Our language is based on conceptual paradigms. Conceptual paradigms are the lenses through which we perceive reality and the very foundation of our language is based on separation and denial.

Monotheistic religions define hierarchal bureaucracy and our government is one. The idea that there is a separation between religion and government is a joke. Jews, Moslems, Christians…all from the same mold. Monotheism is NOT passive!

The gardens, nature, music and dance each reflect interconnectedness and celebration. Mother Nature cuts through the blindness of our thoughts and speak directly to our intuition. But beware of the Satanic cults that confuse and demonize that which is wholly and makes it un-wholy… Holy!

Ahh! But the great paradox! The salvation of civilization rests in the hands of our youth and the most irresponsible people on the planet are their parents. Parents that never seriously lift a hand to help resolve overpopulation or the suffering of the children that are already here. Parents that figure the best way to save an overpopulated planet is to have more kids. Parents that are more concerned with paying the mortgage, putting food on the table and keeping up with the Joneses rather than cultivating a life in balance with nature before they have children. And worst of all parents that send their kids to schools without gardens.

Every important lesson in life should be taught in the wholist of all places…the garden. But unfortunately most are taught in the Holy cathedrals of American education…public, private and religious schools that plant the seeds of competition, capitalism, materialism, monotheism… the conceptual foundations of American thought.

We worship what we don’t have and piss on that which we do.

"You must teach your children that the ground beneath their feet is the ashes of your grandfathers. So that they will respect the land, tell your children that the earth is rich with the lives of our kin. Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother. Whatever befalls the earth befalls the sons of the earth. If men spit upon the ground, they spit upon themselves." - Seattle,

Now is the time for all good people to come together and to acknowledge that human nature is Mother Nature.

You can’t have One without the Mother.

    Dollydagger,

There are no leaders in this revolution. It is about lighting the fire of self awareness and fanning the flames of self-empowerment…the understanding that everything is a reflection of your true nature (Mother Nature) and the realization that self-empowerment is not a search but a revelation. The infinite eternal goes to the core of our being…infinite power is our innate birthright…some call it Mother Nature. Focusing this power requires wisdom, maturity and discipline. Unfortunately the search for god has blinded us to the magic of it all…has convinced us that we are part of the whole (Holy???) rather than a reflection of the whole.

Learn to tend the earth, follow the seasons, plant seeds, pull weeds and celebrate the harvest with your friends and neighbors and you will know your true essence. Make this your mantra and you will know wisdom. To know ONE (Wholiness) you must know the Mother (Nature)...not who you want to be but who you are.

    pianoperson60,
The irony is that they are where we have always been but our “I’s” have been conditioned and programmed to strive toward goals (the promised land; pot of gold at the end of the rainbow) rather than to celebrate who we are...we need to slow down, look around and celebrate the true nature of our being…Mother Nature.

Winter is a time of reflection and planning. Spring is a time to cultivate healthy seeds of love, peace and cooperation...a time to celebrate who we are...children of this earth!

The nature in human nature is Mother Nature and the mother of nature is the garden!

once again Benther, you have left me speechless on account of your words...
we are indeed children of the earth and much like nuturing a child we too have to have to care for this earth as it has for us over the years.

as for revolution, i organized a small protest that will be going down on the 27th. My own little march on washington, if you will. some of my friends said they would show but even if they don't i will still be out there on the corner of M-29 and Smith holding up my signs and singing anti-war songs till my lungs give out and my fingers fall off from the immense cold.

feel free to join; algonac, michigan...

Too often people fall into the mindset of pursuing wants, rather than needs. Even many of the things we think we need are pre-programmed by the brainwashed people all around us, brainwashing us without knowing.

People view those with views such as these, the ones I share, as 'radical.' I ask, truly, is this radical at all? People trying to live in harmony, preserve the world that we live in, make it a more wholesome place for us to reside. But no, that is viewed as 'different.' Those who don't take place in the orgiastic self gratification that the world seeks are viewed as 'confused,' or 'wacko.'

Religion and government have succeeded quite well. Too many of us are drones, following leaders who need not exist. If we simply listened to what was inside us, each and every one, then we would know what we, as a people, needed to do. But no, the government urges us, 'You don't need to make decisions about the rest of the world! Let us do it for you!'

But the people don't like that. Of course not, we don't want someone ruling us. So they dangle the false-participatory act of 'voting' in front of us. Do you want the drone on the left, or the drone on the right?

I don't believe that this government, or any other, is truly what we need. Every bureaucracy exists simply to hold power, and they will do anything to maintain that power.

I'm not an activist. I don't think we should overthrow the government. It's just no longer useful. If we start being more self-sufficient, more down to earth, then we need not worry about the government. Simply start making your own way, living without the governments money, that trap that they spring on you, as much as you can. Sure, use it when you have to, live the government-ruled life, as you must. But rebel in the little ways, the ways that no-one can get upset over. Don't subscribe to the views that others impose upon you.

And yet, anarchy cannot exist... It's foolish (I believe, based on what I've seen of mankind) to believe that we can go on without some regulation as a population. There's always someone out there trying to get more power, and, even if they're benevolent, that leads to government...

    It seems so inescapable sometimes...

If more people would just tend their own gardens...

True, but there's nothing wrong with using some of the things we don't absolutely need for living. It's just important that people don't use those things, like tv or cars, mindless and unlimited. Be aware of what you're doing and what influencing you, it's not so hard to do and it makes you more conscious.

These views aren't radical of course, it's the way how you live by them. The topicstarter claims to see no use for religion, yet he sounds like a prophet himself. I find the earth sacred in some way myself, but there's no need to see our earth as a Mother. Sounds like some kind of goddess to me. Of course there's also nothing wrong with people who do see our earth like that! It's always a better view than just see it as a place you live on, own, or can abuse for it's resources.

But not every person in politics in my opinion.

I agree, especially with the first paragraph of this latest quote!

The original views on here appear closely related to Wicca. Personally, I surrendered myself to the lord Jesus Christ and since have never felt more "Love" from any human as from Christ. I was not brainwashed by the way, this was a personal choice I took all on my own. Yes, this Earth is a sacred place not because of plants and trees but because of our presence on it. We are just spirits floating on by for all eternity and our time here is very very limited. I also personally think the Earth would not rotate if everyone had the same perspective on everything. Maybe instead of trying to "eliminate" all the problems we seem to transpire in our heads we should learn to compromise and cooperate. To love each other despite the differences. If you really want a say in your government go out and vote. The government is here to protect us regaurdless if its perfect or not. Do you have your nature? You have your shelter? There is endless bashing of our government on this forum and pretty much everywhere else. Would you rather be living somewhere where you would be tortured for even hinting at instability in your government? I think we should start thinking from the top down with positives. Negative thinking creates negative situations and vice versa. Now you can believe if you want that i fit in that "mold" of brainwashed Americans and im a closed minded fool. But the truth is this is reality on the simplest level.
