Star Trek's Answer To 'Are We Living In A Simulation?'

    Some people think that life is an illusion and we are all living in a simulation. This is called the simulation hypothesis. The Simulation Hypothesis I just read is the theory that our perceived reality is an advanced computer simulation created by a technologically superior civilization. And it was proposed in its modern form by philosopher Nick Bostrom in 2003.

    But I like what Vina says to Captain Christopher Pike in the pilot episode to Star Trek TOS called The Cage, first aired in 1965:

    "It doesn't matter what you call this, you'll feel it. That's what matters. You'll feel every moment of whatever happens to you."
