star-sign combatibility

To what extent does "star-sign combatibility" influence whether or not you would pursue a relationship?

 

I don't really pay attention to star sign compatibility, but in most cases it ends up the same way: not compatible.

 

I worry more about blood type compatibility:X

 

What is a "star sign"? Is it a different term for what I know as "sun sign"? (i.e. what you look up in the newspaper horoscope.)

I think everything you take with a grain of salt, but i like knowing what people's traits "might" be like. For some, it's not who they are at all. I wouldn't make a decision about a friendship/relationship because of starsigns but it's interesting to know the details.

 

It really doesn't matter so I pay little attention to it. However I've noticed my most volital relations were with signs I'm suppose to match up with. Ex hubby was a pieces though we weren't married long enough to know what was good and what wasn't...
If I thought matching signs made a bigger deal than I use to think about them, I'd make it a more important quality in seeking a mate.

 

Star signs are only ONE part of astrology - we all have a sign for every PLANET - so in one way or another it effects us because all of our personality points and everything else is tied into it. . . . In MY opinion

 

It doesn't bother me because I don't have a clue what signs are supposed to be compatable with mine*.

Would take a few dates to figure out their sign, by which time I'd have made a descion to pursue it or not anyway.

*which is libra.

 

It's not important to me. I just want to hook up with a pisces (7th house).

 

I think astrology is fun. If you believe in it, cool. I don't like when people will diss you for getting into it. It can describe your relationships to an extent. Sun sign traits shouldn't be strictly relied upon though, moon, ascending and houses are important too. I wish I could understand the houses better though>

I don't look at it first, but, after I've found someone I'm interested in, I will look it up just because I'm curious, but, if we're supposedly not compatible than I don't dump em or anything. I'm a Scorpio, by the way

 

I'm with flowersinmyhair. But I don't just looks at sun sign compatibility I look at the whole chart for both of us and compare sun/moon/ascendent and all aspects. also look some at mars/venus compatibility. Don't dump the person because of what I find - heck I've already determined we're reasonably compatible before I look. Rather it helps me to know what areas in our relationship are likely to be areas of friction so that I'm not thrown by it.
Fer-instance I'm Taurus and my late husband was Leo. If you just looked at sun-signs, this would have been a no-no. But we shared Gemini moon signs. And looking at the aspects between our charts, the main area of friction reflected was my inability to communicate effectively with him. And as it turned out we were wonderfully compatible except that and finances.
sooo... well I trust my instincts first and foremost. But astrology is an interesting way to understand a bit more.

 

I'm very interested in it. I usually find hat I get along Extremly well w/ Tauras' & Gemini & if look it up I'm told that this is a good match for me. But like Chandra said it's not All about your Sun signs , your Moon sign plays a big role in it also. Maybe I'm crazy...lol , but I believe in Astrology. I wont let it control my life , but I do keep up w/ it a bit

 

I won't make it a condition of love, but I will keep it in mind.

 

I keep it in mind...I'm an aquarius and we can be really difficult to get along with. I've never met another aquarius that I didn't like, and I generallly get along very well with the other two air signs as well.

However, I've learned the hard way that I can't mesh with earth signs and I'll never date one again!

I keep an open mind about fire signs since I've never actually dated one. I generally avoid water signs too, especially Pisces. The greatest love of my life was a Pisces and I think his Piscean traits really killed our chances together.

i find that i get along with aquarians, we jus tend to have "breaks' in our friendships, but remain friends for years and years nonetheless even tho we are both bad at followin thru on plans

 

I like looking back on past relationship and then reading star sign compatibility and seeing how much of it was true.
