I've had this theory for a while, and I want to see what other people think... my theory is that standardizes tests/governement issued tests(those tests you get that dont count for a mark, and often use scantron) are used to determine where the number of ...we'll say stupider people are, as in, people with lower marks, not many goals for the future, etc... And, once they find a area with a high number of these people, they focus their recruiting there(the army)>_> :O Zomg, it's a conspiracy..Scandal
I don't think that's true. My school is is in the top five(as far as SOL(the big standerd test here)) in VA and there's always military recurters advertising during lunch.
Don't think so really I'm going to a relatively good school (According to the right wing nut Fraser Institute, it'd be the 60th best highschool in Québec) and military recruiters from the Canadian Forces still come each year to recruit ...
I don't know man...that sounds like a good theory but I don't think that testing would prove it correct. Like the others the high school I wen't to was number four or something in Ohio and we always had recruiters in the lunchroom. But it was a good theory.....I have thoughs like that all the time man. It's just the parinoia man, no worries. Peace, Al
hahaha--I would have to agree with you, but I would say "shut up or be shut up" Anywho, standarized tests (at least in Alberta) are done to make sure that: 1)The things that are on the curriculum are acctually being taught; and 2) The tests are equal so that one teacher doesn't just give really easy testsd so it is easier for their kids to get into post-secondary. That being said. Have you ever written a standardized test that wasn't standardized. I have, and they scald my mark down because of it (I wrote the "easy" test). Yeah, so shut up hippie or I am going to shut you up
