    Who are your favorite comedians?

    Mine:
    Greg Proops
    Bill Cosby
Steve Martin (well, he used to be one. My parents have tapes of some of the stuff he did in the 70s. It's awsome)
    Robin Williams

I like Ellen, too. I forgot about her. And Roseanne. And Steve Lynch.

I hate to say it, though, but I'm not a huge George Carlin person. I think he's one of those guys you either like or you don't. He rubs me the wrong way. I respect him, though.

I recently saw a Bobcat Goldthwait special from about ten years ago (or so I could surmise by the subject matter), and it was great. I'd never seen his stand-up, and I was happily surprised.

Whoopi Goldberg is now rising in my respect. I never used to like her, but I saw her last night on HBO and was really suprised. Not only was she very funny, but at some points, she was actually profound. I was really, really impressed. I'm a total convert now.
