that was a pretty damn good game. series was really good. thought it would have gone into extra innings, but a 2 run homer ended that huh, haha. was the closer a rookie? i think they said that, he had a nasty curve going on
yeah he is a rookie. I think............... well, he hasnt been with st louis for very long. yeah that was a wicked curve to strike out carlos beltran......... man, I was shakin in my boots with beltran on with bases loaded..........
I couldnt watch most of the game............. I checked in about every inning............... watching it on tv..........too much stress for me....... my brothers gf tried to break it to me what was goin on , and I told her not to tell me anything, my heart couldnt take the stress......... but I watched when there were 2 outs and carlos up with bases loaded........
oh yea, i know that feeling. when the sox beat the yankees, had the same thing going on. just pure emotion going on before they officially won. can't wait for the WS to start. i hope its a tight one
sometimes that is a bad thing....they're off for too long and get out of the groove, when the team that just won is still coming off a big win and has the motivation to continue to move on and play without a long rest. we'll see how it turns out
yup........... fuck, the cards havent had a ws win since 82............... 84 for detroit.... who needs it more?? st louis I would say
who wants it more....thats the question i'm really hoping for a 7 game series. we'll see, the Nat'l League needs to step it up though
if you weren't pulling for the NL then i'd think you were hit in the head with too many baseballs or soemthign
I'm right here I missed the game last night b/c I was at work... Remember, I wanted St. Louis to win that series... The Tigers have to win...we haven't even made it to the post season since 86 (I think). This town is itching to win at something...our football team sucks...our hockey team is in the gutter...the Pistons aren't in full force yet... It's baseball fever here and we're starting the series in the D.... I'm sorry, but the Cards are goin' DOWN! You guys have to admit, the Tigers being one of the worst teams in baseball for how many years straight...this is a big turn around that SHOULD be rewarded.
