You probably remember that at the end of last year, congressmen sat down with spammers to get their guidance in writing anti-spam laws. They wrote it up in an extremely spammer-friendly way (opt-out, for instance), and as we all predicted, spam increased. Now they're working with the makers of spyware to ensure that spyware producers are adequately protected from angry consumers. A bill introduced by Republican Mary Bono does ban spyware- but provides NO criminal penalty, and specifically takes away the right of all consumers to sue spyware makers. Other Bush officials have come down very solidly in support of spyware. A brief summary of the bill is at this site. Show me a Republican, and I'll show you a snake slithering in the grass.

The people at these places are very helpfull and friendly!!
My computer is overrun by spyware. Some of its my fault from bad choices, and letting my little cusin get on cause he opens unknown e-mail. The only thing i can do is erase my memory, registry, and put everything back to factory settings, while saving a few select files. For somereason I can't install Ad-aware. I had it at first then I deleted, but now I cant get it back on. I have one question though, how do you scan music for spyware/viruses?
I loathe spyware, it completely fucked up my internet browser (switched to Mozilla). I wish a debilitating case of... hemorrhoids and leprosy (er... lephroids?) on whoever puts that shit on our computers.
What you'll have to do is Download Spy Bot Search and Destroy from >>Here<< Then download Hyjack This from >>Here<< While you're at that last page read the instructions but don't worry about the Ad Aware instructions as somekind of spyware has screwed that up for you. Instructions for SpyBot and Hijack This are on this page just remember to check for upgrades for each program before scanning your system. Register at Wilders and read their instructions for posting logs and they'll have you spyware free in no time. Be prepared though they are pretty busy and a response may take a while, they will get back to you though. The process can be a bit complecated so be carefull to read the instructions!! :sunglasse
