Everytime I sign on to the computer I get a message that says there are 10 dangerous spyware programs running on my computer. From what the message says the spyware has been on here since 2-21-2005 at 3:41 pm. It tells me I can get rid of the spyware, but I don't know how trustworthy that is. Does anyone know how I can search my system for Spyware and how I can get rid of it????
Here ya go http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html run that, clear whatever comes up... but I don't recomend clicking on the advertisment that tells you you have spyware.

destroy... The home of Spybot-S&D! this stuff is great. If you have a paypal acct. which can spare a few dollars you might wanna hit their donate button. I guarantee you their software will be very valuable to you. Of course it's free! That's the beuatiful thing! That's why you should donate. I have another link around for good free software if you pm me i'll try to find it for you.

S&D is fabulous. I also use Adware, and then I have AVG to check for viruses (on top of useing mozilla firefox). Make sure it's Adware and not Adaware, or any other knockoffs (I believe it's at pcsafe.com)
I've got an adware filter and it finds spyware crap about as often ad S&D does, but sometimes they find different programs (usually overlap, but I use both to be sure). It hasn't fucked up my computer, unlike a lot of things from microsoft and other "valid" groups. Maybe my computer just likes it though, I dunno.
