Or has it? It was pretty nippy out today. But the ice formation on the vegetation at the lake was amazing! Mr. Freeze must have been in the neighbourhood. Everyone was out with their cameras taking photos, ooh'ing and ahh'ing at the beauty of it. A couple of Canada geese enjoying the sunshine.
We have beautiful springs here. It is my favorite season. Ive been too busy enjoying the view to take any pictures though. I'll try to remember to take some for this thread
Now that's what I call spring. Great pics, Piaf, even if I did have to stand on my head to see them. ;-D (Oh, I see you've fixed them now.) It's Lake St. Louis on the West Island of Montreal.
I went out for a walk early in the morning today before the storm hit (it started coming down shortly after 4 p.m. and is really coming down now). The wind was already pretty intense, the waves crashing over the embankment. The gulls were hovering and squawking since sun up. You see a bit of the sunrise here.
Spring doesn't really show up here until May. We got dumped on again last night. Then it turned to rain and it's a mess out there. And with the ground still frozen and not able to absorb the rain, we'll be getting flooding. I'm so looking forward to May.
I was at the park with my girlfriend Saturday morning, and near the parking area, in a tree, I spotted a raccoon. You rarely see them in daylight, and at first I thought it may have been rabid, but apparently healthy raccoons can be spotted during the day. This little guy was checking us out as I was taking his picture. Later he moved out on to a branch on the other side of the tree...
Looks like you folks back east still have winter. I'm jealous. This is the last week my ski resort will be open and I can't make it up one last time becuase I'm tied down with obligations and work.. I hate being an adult sometimes.
Yeah, winter doesn't seem to want to let go too easily here. Yesterday was one of the first truly springlike days in weeks. Today and Monday are supposed to be even better with highs in the high 60s/low 70s -- my favorite temperatures of the entire year.
Monday’s Patriots Day and the temperatures should be in the low 60s Perfect weather under ordinary circumstances but lousy for the runners of the Boston Marathon – no world records tomorrow Hotwater
Ski resorts, lol. We don't ski on it in the city. Adults also have to shovel it and drive in the dang stuff.
they wouldn't have to if there were enough trains and buses they wouldn't have to own and drive cars. then we could all just dress warmly and enjoy how much nicer and magical it makes everything look when it isn't driven upon or tromped through.
^^ It looks very cold there. I'll probably start my own separate thread soon. I do photography on my spare time and i have loads and loads of photos.
