Spring Delight Salad

    1 3oz package lemon gelatin

    1 3oz package lime gelatin

    3 cups boiling water

    1 No.2 can crushed pineapple, undrained

    1 cup pecans, chopped

    24 large marshmallows

    1 teaspoon vinegar 2 3 oz packages cream cheese



    Cut marshmallows into small pieces. Pour water over gelatin and marshmallows; stir until dissolved. Chill. Blend cheese with vinegar until smooth. Add undrained pineapple and lgend; add pecans. Chill. When gelatin is ready to thicken, combine the two mixtures and mold as desired.

    this reminds me of all the church potlucks i used to have to go to as a child....

    I hope everyone knows what gelatin is made from...


    And what marshmallows are made from (the same thing, as marshmallows are mostly gelatin too).

    Here, I figure I better help everyone out who doesn't know:

    Gelatin: An odorless, colorless, tasteless thickening agent is the nutritious glutinous protein material obtained from animal tissues by boiling. Most comes from beef bones, cartilage, tendons, and pigskin.

    Yum, yum...

    Now ask where hotdogs come from...

    Man, Dont bother me where gelatine comes from. just dont think about it that much. but are you saying that it makes it a bad recipe??

    I think Skip pointed that out, because it would bother vegeterians and vegans--and it sounds pretty gross to me. :p
