why is this cartoon character starting all this hate between people?? and its bringing out the worst. this dj at the alternative station I listen to out of kansas city is now getting protested for things he said about god, since people were saying that god hates spongebob because he is gay. the guy pretty much said that he hates god because he hates spongebob. the station got over 500 calls yesterday, and one woman in particular made the most calls and even contacted the attorney general in missouri just to take this guy off air for what he said. I guess some people think you cant say whatever you want in this country. and this all has to do with spongebob!! fuck, after this past election, all these religious fanatics think they can supress our opinions. what the hell?? they are nuts.

who really gives a fuck anyways? There will be another cartoon popping up to takes it's place sometime anyways. Spongebob is a fad (admittedly, a cute and somewhat long lived one, but still a fad) like almost everything aimed at children. Kids have no attention span, let alone the ability to distinguish someone's sexual orientation unless they are specifically told that that person is gay/bi/whatever

I dont know why..... they think its their place to shoot down anything popular with kids. most just want to protect their kids from things, but dont you think the more you ban things, the more the kids are intrigued by it??? I watched he-man when I was younger. now that I had seen a few clips of that cartoon, I noticed how homo-erotic it was........ at the time none of that even crossed my mind. it didnt make me gay. cartoons dont make people gay, good god.

my nieces like watching spongebob....... but there is no way they would get all the adult orientated jokes. there have been a few episodes I seen that I hoped my nieces wouldnt notice..... which I know they wouldnt, but anyways.

oh yeah I forgot you were from st joseph. 96.5 is about the only station I can half way listen to out of kansas city these days. at least they have a new rotation of music every once in awhile..... I cant stand some of that pop-punk they play though. I really like all of their djs though. laslow is hilarious. then they have that gay guy, scoops? I dont know, its an entertaining station for me, plus they like to play alot of the alternative music from my childhood.

I guess you and I are in the same club. Actually, spongebob is the only "new" cartoon that I can sit down and enjoy with my kids. All of these other cartoons that have come out in the past 10 yrs really suck!

I agree with that....... as far as cartoons for kids goes. there are alot of adult orientated cartoons like sealab, family guy, etc.... but as far as kids shows, spongebob has to be the most entertaining for kids and adults alike. rugrats is annoying, and what the hell is ed edd and eddy?? dumb.

 

Anyone that lets their kids watch Family Guy should have their kids taken away from them. I would not even let my kids watch Simpons until they were at least 9 years old and Simpons is a lot better (adult humor) than Family Guy. But saying that, I do LOVE Family Guy! I have heard that that spin off of Family Guy is funny. I do not know the name of it but it is from the same makers of Family Guy...........
